Ram Kapoor addressed the murmurs of using weight loss drug

In a candid conversation on the podcast, Let's Talk With DevnaG, Ram Kapoor was questioned about what he did to achieve such a massive weight loss transformation. He stated that he thought of losing weight almost a year and a half back. While Ram managed to lose 55 kgs, six months into it, he had a fall and sprained his shoulder. After which, he had to undergo surgery, followed by eight months of physiotherapy. In the process of healing, he stopped taking care of his weight loss mission. Ram said:

"I started about a year and a half back and have managed to lose 55 kgs till now. Initially six months I was doing very well, but then I had a very bad fall, and my shoulder got screwed. I had to undergo surgery, followed by 8 months of physiotherapy. So, everything on the weight loss front stopped, it was those six months and another six months after that helped me transform."

Further, Ram addressed the allegations of taking Ozempic or opting for bariatric surgery. He even stated that it is not wrong as people who do it want a better version of themselves. Ram was quoted as saying:

"I never took Ozempic or any other drug for weight loss, neither did I do bariatric surgery, but does any of that matter? However, it is not wrong to do any of that because people do so to become a better version of themselves."

Ram further clarified that he had not undergone any surgery or taken any supplements. He revealed that he had lost massive weight five years ago, but he put the weight back, and later, he realised that he was doing it wrong. After that, Ram started reading and learning more about it. He said:

"People said that I did bariatric surgery, but then why would I hide it? What I did was, for 5 years before I achieved this, I went on a massive weight loss journey and shed 30 kgs, then I put it back on again. This helped me learn what I should not do, then I would stay up all night and read books by experts, and watch podcasts and I figured that there are two kinds of people in this world, one who cares about their fitness and health, and people who don’t."

Ram further claimed that the 20 billion dollar dietary industry is designed in a way that you fail. They want business, which they would get if you keep going back to them. He added that it is a focus that helps a person lose weight, just like an athlete.
