A Surat-based diamond businessman made the heftiest donation of 101 Kg gold to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, which was used for gilding the doors, 'garbhgriha, trishul, damru' and the pillars.
The entire nation is currently celebrating the historical inauguration of Ayodhya Ram Mandir. The inauguration ceremony alone, witnessed a footfall of over seven thousand people, including commoners and VIPs. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, inaugurated the Ram Mandir and broke his eleven-day fast. Amid the celebration, it came to our attention that one such Ram bhakt from Surat made the largest donation to the Mandir as an ode for his devotion to lord Rama.
On January 22, 2024, the entire world witnessed the grand inauguration of Ayodhya Ram Mandir. The nation rejoiced on the auspicious occasion of Lord Ram’s Pran Pratishtha at the hands of Narendra Modi. From celebrities to business tycoons to commoners, everyone was actively engrossed in the event and contributed to it in whichever capacity they could. However, a businessman from Surat surpassed everyone’s expectations and made a hefty donation of 101 kg of gold to the Mandir authorities.

Dilipkumar V Lakhi and his family run the largest diamond factory in Surat. The Ram bhakt donated 101 kg of gold to the bhavyamandir authorities to be used in the construction of the historical temple. Rightfully so, the gold was used to glid through the mandir door and was also employed to make the Trishul, Damru, and pillars of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
The second highest donation to the mandir authorities was made by Morari Bapu, who handed out INR 16.3 crores to Ram Mandir authorities. Apart from Morari Babu, another diamond trader, Govindbhai Dholakia of Surat, who is also the owner of Shree Ramkrishna Exports, donated INR 11 crores to the mandir authorities. Ayodhya’s Ram mandir has become a holy shrine to all the Ram bhakts in the nation and beyond.

Celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Amitabh Bachchan, Rohit Shetty, Rajnikanth, Kangana Ranaut, Randeep Hooda and more attended the inauguration ceremony of Ayodhya Ram Mandir. From the business world, we could see Mukesh Ambani and his wife, Nita Ambani, and their kids attending the event. Sunil Bharti Mittal and Anil Ambani also graced the occasion and paid their respect to the almighty.
