Ever since Ranbir Kapoor had confessed his relationship with Alia Bhatt in 2018, their fans have been eagerly waiting for the couple to get married. The rumours and speculations often make it to the headlines that the couple is looking forward to taking their relationship to the next step, but Alia and Ranbir dodged the question like every millennial couple.
However, after a long wait, finally the handsome bachelor of B-town, Ranbir is getting married. It is said that Ranbir and Alia will get married at the family home of the Kapoors in Chembur. The preparation for which had started days before, and the home looks nothing like a palace with the glistening lights and flower decoration.

On April 13, 2022, Ranbir and Alia's wedding festivities began with a puja for the late actor, Rishi Kapoor. In an interview with Aaj Tak, Alia Bhatt's step-brother, Rahul Bhatt had talked about his sister's wedding with Ranbir Kapoor. Rahul had revealed that he would be taking upon his brotherly duties. He had also shared that he will be in charge of the security. Rahul had further revealed that around 200 bouncers had been hired, and guards are deployed at RK Studio and Vastu.

For the uninitiated, Alia had always accepted that she had a massive crush on Ranbir. On the celebrity chat show, Koffee With Karan, she had even admitted that she wanted to marry him. And the Universe had listened to Alia's wish, and they had fallen in love while working together in 2018. However, not many know Alia had a crush on Ranbir since she was eleven years old.
