A few moments ago, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor were papped at the airport as they jetted off to the Maldives. The couple looked adorable as they twinned in white. While Ranbir opted for the classic 'white t-shirt, faded jeans' look, Alia donned a white half-jacket over a yellow bralette, paired with white flair pants. By the end of 2020, the headlines had reported that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will tie the knot in 2021. Amid the reports, Alia had clarified in an interview with Pinkvilla, “When will I marry? Why is everyone asking me when I’m going to get married? You know I’m only 25 years old, and I think it’s too soon to get married right now.” Soon after which, her beau, Ranbir Kapoor, had confirmed that they would have sealed the deal in 2020 if not for the pandemic. In an interview with Rajeev Masand, the Brahmastra star had retorted, "Well, I think it would have already been sealed if the pandemic had not hit our lives. I don't want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick mark that goal very soon in my life."

Further, Ranbir Kapoor had praised his ladylove, Alia Bhatt and calling her an overachiever, he had said, "My girlfriend Alia is a bit of an overachiever, and she probably took every class there is -- from guitar to screenwriting. I always feel like an underachiever next to her. But no, I didn't take any classes. Initially we were dealing with the family crisis, and then I got into reading, spent time with my family, and I watch two-three films every day." Ranbir had also said that he is hopeful that 2021 will be an exciting year both personally and professionally for him.

Last month, Alia Bhatt had stepped out as a bride for an advertisement shoot and her bridal look had created a stir on social media. Ditching the traditional bridal colour i.e., red, Alia had picked pastel shade for her bridal outfit and it had made us even more eager to see her as Ranbir Kapoor ki dulhaniya. Famous mehendi artist, Veena Nagda had posted pictures with Alia, dressed as a bride and flaunting her henna-clad hands. The pictures were captioned as “On set of Cadbury Perk Commercial with lovely @aliaabhatt shot by @goodmorningfilms.”
