In a recent interview, Ranbir Kapoor walked down the memory lane and recalled being beaten by his school principal.
Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. The actor never leaves a chance to melt a zillion hearts, courtesy of his good looks and incomparable acting chops. On his professional front, Ranbir is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie, Animal. In his personal life, Ranbir is happily married to the love of his life, Alia Bhatt, and both of them are currently enjoying the best phase of their lives with their adorable baby girl, Raha Kapoor.
In a recent interview with Hauser Germany, Ranbir Kapoor opened up about an unheard anecdote from his school days. The actor mentioned that he was a great copier during his school days as he never got caught doing the same. However, talking about the same, Ranbir recalled an incident when he tried to escape from an ongoing class and got caught red-handed by his principal. Speaking more about the incident, Ranbir stated that after getting caught by his principal, he got the beating of his life, and the sound of that slap from the principal still continues to echo in his ears. Elaborating more on the same, Ranbir stated:
“I think I was a great copier so I never got caught copying but I remember this one instance that I was in the seventh grade or eighth grade where I was crawling out of my class while the class was going on and while I was crawling the principal came and stood in front of me and I got the beating of my life, like he really whacked me and I still remember like us thappad ki goonj mere kaano mein abhi bhi sunayi deti hai. I still remember that moment."

Ranbir Kapoor, in the same interview, talked about his love for football. For those who don't know, Ranbir Kapoor is a true-blue football lover, and he often gets spotted playing football with his friends. However, Ranbir Kapoor, in the interview, revealed that his love for football started from his school days. The actor also mentioned that his mom, Neetu Kapoor, still has the paper cut of the newspaper from the first time he tricked a goal during a football match at his school. The actor shared that he was in the sixth grade when he first struck a goal during a school competition, and it is one of his biggest moments that he cherishes. Ranbir Kapoor shared:
"My true calling was football. So, when I was selected for the football team, I was in the sixth grade and I remember that in our competition I scored a goal, and on the back page of The Times of India, all the interschool scorers’ names used to come. So the first time my name came in the newspaper it was because I scored a goal and I remember my mum had cut the newspaper and she still has it. I think it was one of the biggest moments I still cherish."
In the same interview, Ranbir Kapoor was asked if he had ever written any love letters in his past relationships. To this, the actor shared that he actually wrote a lot of love letters as he has always been very romantic. The actor also stated that he even read love letters to his parents and grandparents. Ranbir mentioned that in such love letters, there was actually a sense of personal involvement.

As per several rumours, Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in the lead role in Nitesh Tiwari's mythological movie, Ramayana. If the reports are to be believed, Ranbir wants to feel as pure as Lord Ram before doing the movie, which is why he gave up on alcohol, parties, and even non-veg food. For the unversed, reports were rife that Alia Bhatt would be playing the role of 'Sita' alongside her hubby, Ranbir, but she reportedly backed out from the film due to the date issues. It has been now reported that Sai Pallavi will be seen as 'Sita' alongside Ranbir.
