Ranbir Kapoor gave the coolest response when congratulated and called soon-to-be-dad by the paparazzi.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are over the moon as they are expecting their first baby together. The soon-to-be parents are busy with their respective work schedules and movie promotions. While Alia is shooting for her Hollywood debut film, Heart of Stone, in London, Ranbir Kapoor is busy promoting his upcoming film, Shamshera. However, during his recent outing, when shutterbugs congratulated him, the handsome actor gave the coolest response.
For the unversed, it was on June 27, 2022, when Alia Bhatt had taken to her IG handle and surprised everyone by announcing the news of her pregnancy. She had posted two pictures, where the first picture featured Alia and Ranbir in the hospital, having her sonography done, and looking at the monitor, beaming with happiness. The second picture consisted of a lion and lioness along with a cub. Along with the pictures, Alia had written:
“Our baby ….. coming soon.”

On July 6, 2022, Ranbir Kapoor was spotted by the paparazzi in Mumbai as he was promoting his upcoming film, Shamshera. Several camerapersons gathered around him and congratulated him, and called him dad-to-be. Reacting to them, Ranbir replied, “Tu chacha ban gaya, tu mama ban gaya.” As soon as he entered his vanity van, paps asked him to share his birthday message for Ranveer Singh, and the handsome actor said while blowing a kiss:
“Happy birthday, super guy, happy birthday. Love you.”
As soon as Alia had announced her pregnancy with Ranbir, many stories started around the couple. A publication also speculated that Ranbir Kapoor might fly to the UK in order to bring his pregnant wife, Alia, back to Mumbai. Further, in the publication's post, it was mentioned that Alia would soon take a gap from her professional commitments once she's back in the city.

Well, the reports made Alia furious, and she made sure to react to them with a savage response. She pointed out the patriarchal mindset and also reminded the publication she is a woman, not a parcel to be picked. Her befitting response could be read as:
“Meanwhile we still live in some peoples head, we still live in some patriarchal world…fyi. Nothing has gotten delayed!!!!!! No one needs to PICK anyone up. I am a woman not a parcel!!!!! I don not need to REST at all but good to know you'll have a doctors certification as well. This is 2022. Can we please get out of this archake way of thinking! Now if you would excuse me… my shot is ready.”
On the work front, Ranbir and Alia will share the screen space for the first time in the film, Brahmastra, slated to be released in September 2022.
