Ranbir Kapoor's recent remarks about his wife, Alia Bhatt, have once again sparked debate amid netizens about their marriage.
Ranbir Kapoor is one of those actors in the film industry who, despite being one of the prominent names, stays away from media glares. However, the 41-year-old who's busy filming the upcoming mythological saga, Ramayana, recently sat for an interview with Zerodha co-founder, Nikhil Kamath on his YouTube talk show, People by WTF.
Ranbir spoke at length about his personal life and shared much insight about his relationship with his wife, Alia Bhatt. During the conversation, the actor shared that he met Alia when the latter was just nine years old and he was 20. He also talked about how his marriage has been to date and added how Alia has changed her personality. Ranbir was quoted as saying:
"She's made certain efforts, and I must acknowledge this about her, that everything I complained about or she complained about, I think she made better efforts than I have; she changed more for me than I have for her. She used to speak in a very loud tone, and I think because of my father's tone growing up always kind of rattled me. She made efforts to change it."

Ranbir claimed that he had known Alia for a long time and that she was someone unique. He even declared that, as a human, a daughter, a sister, and an actor, he has the utmost regard for her. According to Ranbir, Alia makes him the happiest, and he enjoys returning home, travelling with her, and spending holidays with her.
As soon as this segment from the interview went viral on the internet, people started reacting to Ranbir's statements regarding his wife, Alia. One user wrote, "I'm sorry, but he sounds too fake." Another one commented, "This is a narcissist bragging 'look how I tamed this intelligent, high achieving, ambitious woman.'" Meanwhile, a segment of people on the internet came out in support of Ranbir.

For the uninitiated, Ranbir and Alia fell in love while filming Brahmastra: Part One-Shiva, directed by Ayan Mukerji. They started living together and spent a significant amount of time together during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ranbir and Alia got married on April 14, 2022, after four years of courting. They also welcomed their little munchkin, Raha Kapoor, in the same year on November 6, 2022.
