Ranbir then continued by saying that he heard not just the actors and actresses but everybody in the film industry who used to come to the parties. From the people working in camera and production, everybody used to come and celebrate together. However, gradually, those parties stopped because there became too much of a crowd. It was unmanageable because anyone used to just walk in.
Ranbir heaped praise on grandfather, Raj Kapoor's immense contribution to Indian cinema. However, he felt that he was a better director than an actor. When the Animal actor was asked about the one movie he wanted Raj Kapoor to direct Ranbir said because he made Bobby and was always amazing with love stories, he would have liked him to direct Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and celebrate the music and the characters. However, he does not want to direct any of the masterpiece movies made by Raj Kapoor. Ranbir quipped:
"They would turn out to be atrocious, just like my short films from acting school, which I've buried and ensured no one can see."
Going ahead, Ranbir opened up on a sweet family moment and shared he played Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisaar from Raj Kapoor's 1959 film, Anari. Raha was introduced to music with this timeless masterpiece track. He shared his emotional connection with the track and shared that Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisaar is his favourite anthem. He felt that the lyrics were so simple yet profound—a beautiful philosophy to live by.
Well, it is not the first time that Ranbir has revealed his love for songs in a memorable event. Eagle-eyed fans found an old clip where he was seen singing the song for Alia Bhatt. This was during the promotion of her film, Highway, directed by Imtiaz Ali. A young Ranbir was shown sitting with Alias on a truck long before they started dating. Ranbir could be heard saying in the clip:
"I'll sing actually a favourite song of mine which Mukesh ji had sung called Kisi Ki Muskurahaton Pe Ho Nisaar."
