Two of the most revered and popular actors of Bollywood, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are rumoured to be dating. Ranbir and Alia are working together for Ayan Mukerji’s next film, Brahmastra and since the time the first pics from the sets went viral, people started speculating about their alleged relationship.
And on May 08, 2018, when Ranbir and Alia arrived together at Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand S Ahuja’s reception, more sparks were added to the fire. In fact, Alia herself posted a picture from the reception on her Instagram handle. During her latest release, Raazi’s promotions, Alia was asked, “Is there any truth to the rumours that you and Ranbir are a couple?” To this, Alia quickly responded, “What, Ranveer Singh, I have no linkup with Ranveer Singh, hahahah”.
When probed further that she was asked about Ranbir and not Ranveer, she replied, “You are absolutely right, we are more than friends... We are co-actors. We are working together in a beautiful film called 'Brahmastra' which will release next year”. She also said, “When I read the rumours of my patch-up and break-ups, I find it very funny. The even more entertaining thing here is that the writers have a beginning, middle and an end to the stories also. They have sequels too!! I find these things very entertaining and funny”.
And now, at a recent IIFA conference in Delhi, when NDTV asked Ranbir Kapoor about Alia Bhatt, he sweetly replied, “Well, I have a boy crush on her now”. In fact, Karan Johar who was also present at the conference went all ‘awww’.
Once in Koffee with Karan, Alia recounted the first time she spoke to Ranbir on phone. Alia was quoted as saying, "I remember the first time I spoke to Ranbir. You (Karan Johar) called him up when Rockstar just released and you said, 'Here, talk to Ranbir. Tell him how much you love him'. And I spoke so much rubbish. She had further added, “Obviously, I have hung out with him after that, and I still think he is really adorable. And I still want to marry him”. She retorted, “Everybody knows my plans. I have gone on record and I have said it. I'm very open about it except to Ranbir”.
Speaking to the Hindustan Times once, Alia said, “I would definitely say that I’m fascinated by the kind of person he is with his vibe and behaviour. He is a really rare person and in the years that I have been alive, I haven’t seen many such people”.
Well, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor truly make an adorable couple. We can’t wait more for them to clarify the status of their alleged relationship.
