Ranbir Kapoor was felicitated with the Best Actor award for his film, 'Animal' at the Filmfare Awards 2024. However, he skipped the mention of his wife, Alia Bhatt in his speech.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are one of the most adorable couples in Bollywood. They tied the knot in April 2022, and in the same year, they announced the 'good news' to their fans. Alia and Ranbir were blessed with a baby girl, Raha, On November 6, 2022. The duo has time and again proved that they are madly in love with each other, and their oh-so-mesmerising chemistry speaks volumes about the same.
Ranbir Kapoor was recently felicitated with the Best Actor award for his role in Animal, during the Filmfare Awards. While accepting the award, Ranbir gave a heartfelt speech while mentioning his father, late Rishi Kapoor, and filmmaker, Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The Rockstar actor was heard saying:
"Every day I think of you, I remember you and everything that I feel for you...the love, the affection I try to channelise it through this part and I hope you are up there in peace and resting."

Being a doting daddy, Ranbir Kapoor also mentioned his daughter, Raha, in his speech. He shared that he started shooting for Animal just a week after Raha was born and called fatherhood the most joyful experience. In Ranbir's words:
“Last but not least," My daughter Raha, you were born and a week later I started the shoot of Animal. And every single day just to come home to you has been the most joyful experience, I love you daughtee. Mama and Papa are bringing you a bua and a massi (he addressed the awards as bua and maasi) to play with.”
Soon after the video was shared on Reddit, several netizens flooded the comments section with their reactions. While some lauded him for his immense love for his daughter, Raha, others slammed the actor for not mentioning Alia Bhatt in his speech. Meanwhile, a section of netizens also claimed that Ranbir missed mentioning Alia's name because of his mother, Neetu Kapoor. Check out the comments below:

Yet in another video that went viral on Reddit, Ranbir Kapoor could be seen asking his views on taking the 'black lady',i.e. the Filmfare Award home. The actor was asked how many black ladies he was taking home that day. To this, Ranbir gave an adorable reply and said that he only knew that his lady was coming and he was taking her home, and he didn't know about the 'black lady'. Ranbir could be quoted as saying:
"Will take my lady home today, don’t know about Black Lady."
