Ranbir Kapoor has had a rare condition since his childhood, which makes him eat and talk way too fast. However, the actor never went for surgery as he prefers to have a crooked nose.
Bollywood actor, Ranbir Kapoor is the son of veteran actors, late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. While his parents have seen humongous stardom, Ranbir also enjoys a fair share of fan following who loves him. The actor's ardent fans often dig out some interesting anecdotes from his life, but there are some lesser-known facts about Ranbir that people don't know much about. And one such fact is that Ranbir suffers from a rare health condition, which makes him talk and eat way too fast.
Ranbir Kapoor suffers from a nasal deviated septum, which is a fairly common olfactory disorder, wherein the bone bridging the two nostrils is deviated. And the only way to address this issue is by way of surgery, but the actor is not keen to get it done. While other Bollywood celebrities have gone under the knife to get the perfect features, Ranbir firmly refuses to be a part of the cosmetic surgery brigade.

Back in 2009, Ranbir Kapoor needed to have an aquiline nose for one of his films, so his director had to plead with him to go under the knife. But Ranbir was adamant that his hooked nose was fine by him. As per a report in India Forums, a close friend of Ranbir revealed the latter's rare condition and revealed that the surgery won't just enhance his looks, but will help him breathe better too. He was quoted as saying:
"Ranbir has had a deviated septum since childhood. ENT specialists have advised him to undergo septoplasty. But he has refused and is adamant about not getting it done. He has always been a stubborn guy, once he has refused something, he won't budge."
Further in the conversation, Ranbir's friend said that the actor's parents, late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, often asked him to go for septoplasty, but he wouldn't budge. So finally, they gave up. Sharing Ranbir's point of view about the same, the source revealed that the actor is not scared of surgeries and would like to have a crooked nose rather than an altered one. The source was quoted as saying:
"Apparently, his parents too have been urging him to get the minor nose surgery done and by now, given up. Ranbir says he isn't scared of surgeries but doesn't want the shape of his nose to be changed. He once told me 'I would rather have a crooked nose than an altered one'."
A few years ago, Ranbir Kapoor opened up about his past addictions and revealed he started smoking at the age of 15. However, the actor admitted that he had even tried getting rid of the habit by getting medical treatment in Austria. Talking about the same, in an interview with GQ India, Ranbir revealed that during the treatment he was given an injection in his ears to stop his urge to smoke as he lacked the willpower to do it on his own.
