Ranbir Kapoor will reportedly make some sacrifices to feel pure as 'Lord Ram' in his upcoming mythological movie, 'Ramayana'. Deets inside!
Ranbir Kapoor is one of the finest actors in Bollywood. The handsome hunk enjoys a massive fanbase courtesy of his master-class acting performances and good looks. On his professional front, Ranbir is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Animal. Talking about his personal life, Ranbir is happily married to the love of his life, Alia Bhatt. Despite being busy in their respective careers, Ranbir and Alia are acing in their mommy and daddy duties to their adorable baby girl, Raha Kapoor.
For the last few months, reports have been rife that Ranbir Kapoor will soon be seen in the character of 'Lord Rama' in Nitesh Tiwari's much-anticipated film, Ramayana. For the unversed, earlier, it was speculated that Ranbir's wifey, Alia Bhatt will be seen as 'Sita' in the movie. However, for some date issues, the diva backed out from the film. According to the new reports, in the film, Sai Pallavi will be seen as 'Sita', while Yash will play the role of 'Ravan'.

Now, a recent report by Koimoi revealed that Ranbir Kapoor made some sacrifices as he is all set to play the role of 'Ram' on-screen. A source close to the actor told the news outlet that Ranbir Kapoor opted for not eating non-veg and abstaining from drinking alcohol. The source further added that Ranbir didn't decide to sacrifice these things for public image, but the dedicated actor wants to feel pure like Lord Ram. The source can be quoted as saying:
"While the film will be shot, Ranbir will abstain completely from drinking and eating meat. These are not things he would avoid just for his public image, but also as a dedicated actor Ranbir wants to feel as pure and clean as Sri Rama. In any case, Ranbir is not into late nights and wild parties."
For those who don't know, earlier, two stars, Akshay Kumar and Prabhas, too, quit eating non-veg food and drinking alcohol for their roles in the movies like OMG 2 and Adipurush respectively.
Meanwhile, another report by Rediff revealed another interesting anecdote about Nitesh Tiwari's much-anticipated movie, Ramayana. The report claimed that a source added that Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, Agastya Nanda was offered to play the role of 'Laxman' in the film. However, the source also mentioned that Agastya will not be playing the role as he rejected the same. Sharing the reason behind the same, the source added that the star kid's hands are full of projects, and soon after The Archies, he will jump into another project, Ekkis, with Sriram Raghavan. The source added:
"Agastya’s hands are full. He has just completed The Archies with Zoya Akhtar and will be deep-diving into Ekkis with Sriram Raghavan. At this stage of his career, he can hardly afford to play second fiddle to another actor.”
