On April 30, 2020, legendary actor, Rishi Kapoor had left for heavenly abode without any final goodbyes. He had given a tough fight to cancer for the past two years. But on a regular morning amidst the lockdown in the entire nation (due to the COVID-19 outbreak), the actor had left us, sadly, his fans were not even able to attend his last rites. Every now, and then, his family shares snippets of their life with Rishi ji as an ode to him.
Recently, late actor, Rishi Kapoor's brother, Randhir Kapoor was invited on the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs. On the show, Randhir ji remembered his brother and said, "Chintu was indeed a great artist, I used to be happy seeing his work and one could notice the sheer sincerity in almost every scene he enacted. An actor should be like that, he loved his work and that's why we fell in love with him and his films as well. I am sure just like me his co-actors from this movie Jitendra, Rakesh Roshan and Prem Chopra must be missing him too." Randhir ji also revealed one of Rishi ji's film that still leaves him nostalgic, "I loved his film ‘Bobby’, in that film he was this fresh, 20-year-old boy who did some really amazing work. Every time I watch that movie, I feel like falling in love again." Randhir ji further stated that his brother Rishi ji was more of a friend to him than a brother, they had shared a very special bond. Randhir ji wanted his brother (Rishi Kapoor) to direct more movies.
Rishi Kapoor's wife, Neetu Kapoor often gets nostalgic remembering him. Once she had shared a throwback picture of the legendary actor, and had opened her heart on the battles and love. She had written, "Big or small We all have a battle to fight in our heads you may have a huge house with all the luxuries and still be unhappy whereas have nothing n be the happiest it’s all a state of mind !!
