When Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor Narrated Their Funny Story Of Failing 11th Standard

It takes months and years for the family to heal with the loss and every special occasion revives the old memories. It was Neetu Kapoor, who had taken to her IG handle and had informed about the demise of Rajiv Kapoor. Sharing a picture of him, Neetu had written, "RIP". The 58-year-old actor had suffered a major heart attack and was rushed to the Inlaks Hospital in Chembur, where he was declared brought dead. His elder brother, Randhir Kapoor had also confirmed the news of Rajiv’s untimely death in a conversation with The Times Of India and had said, “I have lost my youngest brother, Rajiv. He is no more. The doctors tried their best but could not save him.”

As Rajiv Kapoor left the materialism of this world untimely, he has left behind millions of memories for his fans and family to cherish. Reliving some of the memories lived by the three Kapoor brothers, did you know that they are 11th failed? On Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan, when the host had invited ‘The Kapoors’, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor, we were in awe of some of their hidden inside stories and their friendly Punjabi bond with each other. Discussing their school life on the show, Rajiv Kapoor had mentioned that while everyone was elder to him and had passed out, it was Rishi Kapoor, with whom he was left. To this, Rishi Kapoor had remarked, “I didn’t pass out, but I failed out.” Continuing to this, Randhir Kapoor had said, “We all failed. All of us failed.” Rishi ji had added, “Hum sab 11 fail hain.” When Karan Johar had asked if nobody went to the college, Randhir ji had said, “Only girls went to the college, Ritu and Rima.” To this, Rishi ji had added, “And Ranbir, yeah, Ranbir has gone to the college.”

During the conversation, the Kapoor brothers had recalled some of their childhood memories. Rajiv Kapoor had shared that his elder brothers, Randhir and Rishi used to bully him. He had said, “Being the youngest, 15 years to Randhir Kapoor and 10 years to Rishi Kapoor, so whatever you do or whatever you say is always looked down and never taken seriously until and unless you make a serious bond, then a second thought is given to it.” Rishi ji had shared that Rajiv Kapoor’s nickname, Chimpu was coined from the term ‘Champion’ and was given to him by their late father, Raj Kapoor. When asked about their feelings on having a little brother after so long with the birth of Rajiv Kapoor, Randhir ji, who had a 15-year age difference with Rajiv ji had said, “He is my son. I treat him like my son.” Continuing to this, Rishi ji had said, “Its like my father and my youngest chacha, Shashi Kapoor. Rajiv Kapoor was the younger brother of the late actor, Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor. He was best known for his performances in the film, Ram Teri Ganga Maili and Ek Jaan Hain Hum. He had also directed the film, Prem Granth, which had starred Rishi Kapoor in the lead. In an interview with Cinestaan.com, Rajiv Kapoor had talked why his career didn’t take off and had said, “As far as my career is concerned, Ram Teri Ganga Maili is the best film I did. The other films didn’t do well, but not all were bad. The sad part was that everybody wanted to project me like Shammi Kapoor, because I looked like him. To summarise in simple language – hit is fit. If your movies did well things would be on a different tangent.
