Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh took their wedding vows in Italy on November 14-15, 2018, as per Konkani and Sindhi rituals in two separate wedding ceremonies. After their much-awaited wedding, Deepika and Ranveer are back in India. Yesterday, i.e. November 18, 2018, DeepVeer arrived at the Mumbai airport only to be madly surrounded by the media and fans, and rightfully so. After they greeted their fans, the couple headed towards Ranveer’s residence. (You May Like: Nick Jonas Shares He Was Diagnosed With Diabetes At 13, This Is How Priyanka Chopra Reacted)
Photos and videos of Ranveer and Deepika waving at their fans from the former’s residence went viral on social media. Now, there is something intriguing in the photos of Ranveer waving at the people surrounding his house. On taking a closer look, we realise that Ranveer Singh’s mehendi contains his wife, Deepika’s name but in a symbolic way. It’s not really the alphabets proclaiming Deepika’s name but the symbol of a diya, also called deep (for Deep in Deepika). 'Deep' literally means 'light'.

Earlier, on October 13, 2018, when Deepika and Ranveer had their mehendi and sangeet ceremonies in Italy, a source informed a media portal that Ranveer got the name ‘DeepVeer’ written with mehendi on his palm. This is what was said, “The security has been very strict and hence no photos of the bride and the groom have come out on social media. The phone cameras were sealed with stickers. Deepika’s family and Ranveer’s family too shook a leg with their kids. While Deepika got done a designer Mehendi, Ranveer Too has got done a little design on the hand with #DeepVeer written!”
Well, seems like Deepika’s name on Ranveer’s palm wasn’t literal but symbolic. Another source informed an online tabloid about the fact that how magnetic the atmosphere was inside the venue during the celebration. The tabloid reported, “The ambience at the event was electric. Ranveer Singh has enjoyed the most at the Mehendi ceremony. He danced his heart out while his lady love was busy getting the Mehendi done. Old songs were being played. First Shubha Mudgal performed, followed by Harshdeep Kaur. Romantic songs, ghazals and sufi songs were performed. Followed by a performance by Ranveer. He also danced on the beats of dhol.” (Suggested Read: Saif Ali Khan Wrote A Letter To Ex-Wife Amrita Singh On The Day Of His Wedding With Kareena Kapoor)
After their now-concluded wedding, Deepika and Ranveer are going to host three reception parties. The first reception bash would take place in Bangalore on November 21, 2018, and the second and third one in Mumbai on November 28, 2018 and December 01, 2018. Revealing the details about the Bangalore reception, a source earlier told a media portal, “The biggest reason why Deepika chose to have the reception at the Leela, Bangalore was renowned Italian restaurant of New York, Le Cirque which goes by the name Le Cirque Signature. DP loves the restaurant in NYC and their franchise in Bengaluru drew Deepika to The Leela. Her mother has also gone food tasting 2-3 times. The food will be pre-dominantly South Indian though. They will check into the hotel on 20th and check out on 22nd.”
Earlier, there were reports that Ranveer will shift to Deepika’s Mumbai residence as the duo couldn’t find a proper home as per their requirements. But the latest reports suggest that they have found their dream house. As per a media report, “Ranveer and Deepika were looking for their perfect home since quite a while and the moment they saw this property, they knew they wanted it. It’s a huge bungalow which costs Rs 50 crore approximately. They wanted the interiors more personalised so the work in that house is still on. Until then, the duo will be residing in Singh’s current residence, Shree.”
Well, apart from being life-partners now, DeepVeer are also huge admirers of each other. In an interview, Deepika couldn’t stop praising Ranveer and said, “Everything other than the most obvious. I am bored when people say they love his energy. The man has so much more! He is an extremely good human being. He is kind and good to people. He is very real, emotional and sensitive. He is a man who is not afraid to cry, and I love that about him. He is a man!”
She also added, “The first time I watched him onscreen since we never had any scenes together. I cannot think of any actor who would have done this role and brought in the kind of intensity he did with Khilji. It was an author-backed part, but he made Khilji his own. He gave justice to the menacing part of Khilji. Audiences had to hate him to love his work. Actors are usually scared of doing negative roles for the fear of being typecast.” (Don't Miss: Arbaaz Khan And Giorgia Andriani Arrive With His Step-Mom Helen At Lux Golden Rose Awards 2018)
