Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are all set to welcome their first child. Once, the actor revealed that he had started choosing names for their would-be baby.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expecting their first child together. For the unversed, the couple is pregnant and will welcome their first child in September 2024. Ranveer and Deepika have been married for more than five years now, and their pregnancy rumours have been doing rounds for a long time now. There is no denying that the duo adores kids and has often spoken about wanting to have kids.
During his appearance on the reality show, The Big Picture, back in 2021, Ranveer Singh revealed his intentions to embrace fatherhood in the coming years. The actor shared that he was already contemplating names for his future child. Talking to a contestant named Shauryaveer Singh, Ranveer revealed that he would like to choose the former's name to be added to the list. In his words:
“Main shortlist bana raha hoon names ke. Aap mind nahi karenge to main le lu aapse, Shauryaveer Singh?"

He further talked about his wife, Deepika Padukone’s childhood photo and said that the latter was an adorable baby and he looked at her old photos every day. Speaking along the same lines, Ranveer said that he wanted a baby girl just like her and added:
“Bhaisaab, aapki bhabhi itni cute baby thi na. Mai to roz uski baby photos dekhta hoon, kehta hoon ek aisi de de mujhe bus meri life set ho jae."
Not just Ranveer Singh but even Deepika Padukone often talked about having babies on various occasions. Before getting married to Ranveer Singh, during a brand event in 2017, Deepika expressed her desire to have kids. When the actress was asked about her lifetime desire, she gave the sweetest response and said:
“The one thing I have got to do before I die is definitely have lots of babies. That’s what I want to do.”

On February 29, 2024, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh took to their respective IG handles and shared a collaborative post to announce their 'good news'. The couple left their entire fanbase into a meltdown as they revealed that they are going to be parents soon. The photo featured cute drawings of baby stuff, including a bib, shoes, hat, button and clothes. Atop the picture, the couple penned a note and revealed that their baby will arrive in this world in September 2024.
