Ranveer Singh marked another tick off his checklist as he unveiled his statue at London's famous Madame Tussauds. However, his wife, Deepika Padukone, skipped the celebrations.
Ranveer Singh, who started off his acting journey with the super hit film, Band Baaja Baaraat, has come a long way. He rose to fame by portraying strong characters like 'Bajirao' in Bajirao Mastani, 'Ram' in Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, 'Alauddin Khilji' in Padmaavat and many more. Apart from acting, he often makes headlines for his gender-neutral clothing and bindass attitude. Recently, Ranveer ticked off another milestone from his checklist as he unveiled his wax statue at London's famous wax museum, Madame Tussauds.
On December 18, 2023, Ranveer took to his Instagram handle and shared pictures from the event. The actor was decked up in a grey-toned three-piece suit and looked stunning. He was standing in the middle with two of his wax statues at the Madame Tussauds. Ranveer's mother, Anju Bhavnani was also present to be part of her son's accomplishment. She looked pleased seeing Ranveer's wax statue at the world's most famous museum. However, Deepika Padukone skipped the celebration, which was a shock.

Ranveer Singh is a doting husband, who always supports his wife, Deepika. He had once shared that he felt super proud to witness his wife, Deepika Padukone unveiling the trophy. He called the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, 'grand and glorious', and shared that he was happy to be there with his wife, Deepika. The doting husband added how proud he was to see his wife unveil the trophy with a player he truly admires. For the unversed, Deepika Padukone unveiled the FIFA trophy with Iker Casillas, captain of the 2010 World Cup-winning Spanish team.
Ranveer also addressed how he feels when people don't recognise him at big events. However, last year, Ranveer attended the Formula 1 race in Abu Dhabi, and a journalist, Martin Brundle, asked the actor to introduce himself. The actor, without feeling uncomfortable, answered:
"I'm a Bollywood actor, and I hail from Mumbai, India. I am an entertainer."
In the same interview, Ranveer recalled the incident, and how it created a huge buzz on social media. He share that the journalist asked him a simple question, and he didn't overthink it. Ranveer was quoted as saying:
"I was just being authentic and true to myself. When I go to these places, they sense that he must be somebody but may not be familiar with me."
