Ranvir Shorey disapproved of the fact that Armaan Malik and Kritika Malik had to face the brunt of vicious questions about their choice of living through polygamous marriage.
Bigg Boss OTT 3 had its winner on August 2, 2024. Sana Makbul won the show and lifted the trophy along with the cash prize of Rs. 25 lakh. This season, Bigg Boss OTT grabbed a whole lot of attention for a lot of things. First, the makers were questioned about the choice of participants, and second, it was Armaan Malik's polygamous marriage, which often dominated the headlines. In a press conference, Kritika and Armaan were brutally bashed. Now, as the show is over, Ranvir Shorey came in support of the YouTuber.
Soon after the finale of Bigg Boss OTT 3 was over, Ranvir Shorey sat for an interview with The Indian Express, wherein he talked about Armaan Malik and his polygamous marriage. The actor stated that the way Armaan and Kritika were questioned by the press, was simply out of order. Defending the trio, Ranvir said that Payal, Kritika, and Armaan are consenting adults and it's up to them about how they would want to live.

Ranvir mentioned that it's their choice of living, and one should not have dropped such vicious questions, depending on the same. He again took a dig at the polygamous marriage in the industry and questioned if anyone else who had this polygamous marriage would get such bitter behaviour. Ranvir Shorey can be quoted as saying:
"The kind of questions Armaan and Kritika got in that press meet were completely out of order. How three consenting adults want to live is certainly not subject to such vicious questions. I don’t think if somebody else had a relationship like this, we would have the same hostility.”
After the finale of Bigg Boss OTT 3, Kritika Malik sat for an interview, wherein she was asked about her take on polygamous marriage. She said that she doesn't at all support polygamous marriage, and neither Payal nor Armaan do the same. Kritika revealed that it's been seven years since they had gotten married, and when they tied the knot, there was no social media. Kritika can be quoted as saying:
"Hum teeno bilkul bhi support nahi karte polygamy ko. Shaadi ho gayi hai, isko 7 saal ho gaye hain. Jab humne shaadi ki thi tab hum log social media pe nahi the. Cheezein ho gayi, bas haath jod ke sabse yahi request hai ki hum log bilkul bhi support nahi karte 2 shaadiyon ko.”
During one of the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, the media entered the Bigg Boss OTT 3 house. Each of the contestants had to face several questions, but Armaan and Kritika faced the flame when they were asked about their polygamous marriage. The husband-and-wife duo was asked several cross-questions, from Armaan's biological needs to their decision to cheat on Payal Malik.

After it was over, both Armaan and Kritika broke down. Ranvir Shorey was irked by the same, and he revealed that he was surprised by such questions. Ranvir stated that the way Armaan would want to live with his wives is their decision, so no one should have commented. He added that there are a lot of couples in the industry who also had gotten married twice but would not get called out due to their name and fame.
