During the conversation, Ranvir shared that he doesn't mind younger people not knowing him when he was asked a question about his Bigg Boss co-contestant, Shivani Kumari failing to recognise him. She had asked him what he did for a living. Ranvir was quoted as saying:
"They’re all young, so I don’t blame them if they don’t know me. I’m not such a huge star. I know my area of existence, where I’m known to a discerning audience but not to the masses."
Further, the Bollywood actor discussed that he doesn't look down upon any kind of work, if the need arises, he could even work as a spot boy on sets. Moreover, he shared that music and filmmaking have been the two loves of his life, and he would be happy doing any work in these fields. Ranvir said:
"Even when I express that I’m not getting acting offers, don’t take it in a pathetic sense. I can work as a labourer, I have no problems… I’ll do something else. Filmmaking and music are the two loves of my life. I’m happy doing any work in these fields. I have enough experience in these fields to make a living one way or another. Even if I have to work as a spot boy on set, I’ll earn a living. And I will not feel bad about it."

He further revealed that he can’t keep pestering filmmakers for work beyond a point. Sharing that he has asked for work from Sanjay Leela Bhansali and others, Ranvir added:
"I’m a little weak at that. Not inept, weak… It’s not that I haven’t told directors that I’d love an opportunity to work with them. I’ve said this to everybody from Sanjay Leela Bhansali to everyone down the list. But I can’t keep messaging and grovelling, because I find that a little extreme, and I feel like I might end up annoying them. That’s my biggest fear, because I don’t want to get into people’s space beyond a point."
Apart from his professional life, Ranvir also touched upon his personal life during Bigg Boss OTT 3. And now, while conversing with Siddharth Kannan, the 51-year-old addressed the allegations levied against him of being an 'abusive' person. He shared that they were planted by his ex-girlfriend, Pooja Bhatt's father, Mahesh Bhatt, after their ugly breakup.
Ranvir revealed that Mahesh Bhatt had manipulated him. In the conversation, the actor recalled that Pooja's father had told his father that they would rest the matter after the fight. However, the next day, he uttered absolute lies about him and planted false stories. Ranvir was quoted as saying:
"At the time we had a conflict, I felt that the respect I had for him, he used that manipulatively. When the fight happened, he told my father, ‘Ok, we will rest the matter here, whatever the fight happened between the kids.’ Next day, he proceeded to print utter lies about me, planted false stories in the media against me, painting me as an alcoholic abusive person. All lies!"
