Ranvir Shorey REACTS To His Comment On Jaya Bachchan's 'Thaali' Remark 'I Must Have Been Very Angry'

Ranvir Shorey is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood. He was seen in movies like Lootcase, Ek Tha Tiger, Sonchiriya, Aaja Nachle, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, and Khosla Ka Ghosla, among others. Apart from that, Ranvir's stint in Bigg Boss OTT 3 grabbed a lot of attention. The actor, who is known for being vocal on the internet, once reacted strongly to a comment that Jaya Bachchan made at the parliament about the nepotism debate back during the lockdown. And now, he reacted to the same yet again.

Ranvir Shorey talks about his comment on Jaya Bachchan's thaali remarks

During the lockdown era, the nepotism debate was at its peak, and it was Jaya Bachchan who slammed the actors who tagged the industry with the same term. Jaya said, "Jis thali me khaate hain usi me chhed karte hain." Well, Ranvir Shorey reacted to it back then and added that those plates are decorated by these people for their kids, and there he and other outsiders have to fight for a piece of it.

Well, in a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Ranvir Shorey denied making any kind of comment on Jaya Bachchan's thaali remark. He said that back then, he just reacted to the fire and debate which was spreading and how everyone was commenting about it. Ranvir revealed that he just pointed out his own opinion. Ranvir can be quoted as saying:

"I did not say it on Jaya ji's remark, whatever she said at that time was all over the internet. Everybody was talking about that thaali. So even I also gave my opinion but it was not in reply to her."

Going further in the interview, Ranvir Shorey added that he must have been angry when he penned out his opinion on the 'thaali' remark. He shared that people have complimented him for writing with motive on social media, but right now, he feels that if he has to express something, he won't do it sarcastically. The actor further added that he was angry and hurt by the double treatment he received back then, and it was an expression. Ranvir can be quoted as saying:

"I must have been quite angry to have written that. Even earlier people have told me that mai kafi motive ho ke liktha hu social media pe. So maybe it's better to step back. Today if I have to express the same thing. I would probably not express it so sarcastically. I didn't have to be so angry about it. Maine ye tab likha hai jab mere andar voh gussa panap raha tha, double treatment that met it out in Bollywood. Uspe I think this expresses my anger."

Ranvir Shorey expressed the reason for joining BB OTT 3

In an old interview dated back to 2015, Ranvir Shorey revealed that he continued to dodge Bigg Boss' offer and joked that he would join Bigg Boss if he would give up on life, but thankfully, he bagged some opportunities, and then he didn't have to grace the show. Well, while on Bigg Boss OTT 3, Ranvir shared that the reason he came to the show was that he had no work. He also revealed that he wants to win the show to back his son in his studies in the future.

Ranvir Shorey's stint on Bigg Boss OTT 3

Ranvir Shorey had been a strong contestant in Bigg Boss OTT 3, and he played the game well while being one of the favourites. Well, he ended the show as the second runner-up and reportedly charged Rs. 1.5 lakh per week, thereby making it Rs. 9 lakh in total.
