The Animal actress, who’s currently riding high on the success of back-to-back blockbusters, turned 29 on April 5, 2025, and appears to have celebrated her special day in Oman. What’s caught everyone’s attention, though, is the striking similarity between Rashmika and Vijay’s latest vacation pictures. While neither tagged each other nor the location, eagle-eyed fans were quick to play detective and believed the duo was holidaying together. So what gave it away? Here’s how fans connected the dots.
On April 5, 2025, Rashmika Mandanna rang in her 29th birthday away from the media glare, on the serene beaches of Oman. On the occasion of her special day, the Sikandar actress treated fans to a wholesome photo dump filled with sandy beaches, golden sunsets, and her cutesy smile. Sharing the photos, she penned a note thanking her fans. It read:
“Some beach..some sands..some sunsets..some flowers and a lot of smiles with all your love and wishes. Thaaaaaaankyou my loveeeessss! You are the bestttestttt!! I’ll show you guys today’s dear diary tomorrow okie. Love ya! Good night!”
While most fans were busy showering birthday wishes to the actress, some eagle-eyed netizens were busy connecting the dots. Just a day after Rashmika’s birthday post, Vijay Deverakonda posted a set of serene beach pictures that instantly set the rumour mill spinning. Dressed in a breezy beige fit, soaking in the sun, and casually riding horses by the shore. Vijay’s caption read:
“Riding horses and living Barefeet.”
It didn’t take fans long to notice that some of the clicks were taken in the exact same backdrop from Rashmika’s birthday photos, including the white sands, blue parasols, beach chairs, red flags, and even the palm trees.
As soon as they connected the dots, both the actors’ posts got flooded with comments, which ranged from excited to adorable. One user wrote on Rashmika’s post, “Where is VD… he took these pics, right?” On Vijay’s post, netizens could not hold their excitement. One comment under his latest post read, “Just convey birthday wishes from my side to the girl beside you." Another user commented, “My hero dating rashmika oh my God chhupane se bhi nahi chup raha yaar." Some also pointed out that they could not wait to see the two rumoured lovebirds posting each other’s photos on their feeds.
