Meet Ratan Tata's young General Manager, Shantanu Naidu's educational background

It was back in 1993 when Shantanu Naidu was born in Pune, Maharashtra. According to multiple reports, the youngster was born and brought up in the city of dreams. Talking about his educational qualifications, Shantanu's schooling information is still under the fold, and only a little is revealed about the same in the public domain. However, according to several reports, Shantanu completed his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious Savitribai Phule Pune University back in 2014.

After completing his graduation in Mechanical Engineering, Shantanu Naidu went to the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, where he pursued Master's in Business Administration. During his time at Cornell Johnson, Shantanu was involved in a series of significant activities which shaped his overall personality. Not only this, but he also received the Hemmeter Entrepreneurship award during his time at the Cornell Johnson School. It was while doing Master's that he was also bestowed with an award in the Johnson Leadership Case Competition.

When Shantanu Naidu's noble act for dogs won Ratan Tata's heart

Out of many things, the one common thing that served as the base of Ratan Tata and Shantanu Naidu's friendship is their love for dogs. Time and again, we have seen the billionaire businessperson highlighting the terrible condition of street dogs in India. Well, there's one incident related to dogs that introduced Ratan Tata and Shantanu Naidu. After completing his graduation, Shantanu was working with a company, and one day, while coming back from the office, he saw a dog's dead body lying in the middle of a road.

When he was about to bring the dog's dead body to the other side of the road, another car from behind ran over it, leaving Shantanu absolutely gutted. It was when Shantanu decided to do something for the safety of street dogs. The young and dynamic engineer built dog collars with reflectors, and it immediately served its purpose. The reflective collars started gaining a lot of attention from several tabloids, and within weeks, Ratan Tata came across Shantanu Naidu's reflective collars. The initiative was featured in Tata Group's newsletter, and it was when Shantanu received an E-mail from Ratan Tata in which the latter praised him for his noble initiative.

Ratan Tata was so impressed by Shantanu Naidu's initiative that he proposed an offer to the youngster. However, the latter told him to put it on hold as Shantanu was going to New York to study at Cornell University and promised Ratan Tata to join him as soon as he completed his post-graduation. As per their mutual respect and admiration for each other, Shantanu Naidu joined Ratan Tata's company as soon as he returned from the US.

Shantanu Naidu's initiative, Motopaws went to a completely different level as soon as it was backed by one of the most powerful names in the business sector, TATA. As of now, Motopaws operates in 20 cities across four countries, and the way Ratan Tata showed his faith in a youngster is simply admirable.

Shantanu Naidu's journey at Tata: From working as an intern to becoming his General Manager

For the unversed, even before joining Tata Trusts in 2018, Shantanu Naidu worked as a business strategy intern at the company back in 2014 after completing his graduation. In 2021 Shantanu made a name for himself after he launched another initiative named, Goodfellows, which was all about providing assistance to older people, who are alone and in their final years.

There's no denying in saying that Ratan Tata has seen his younger self in his General Manager, Shantanu Naidu, who also wants to dedicate his life to serving others. In recent years, time and again, we have seen Shantanu assisting Ratan Tata during most of his appearances at public events.
