Zee announced they will make a biopic on the life story of Ratan Tata as an ode to his contributions to the society. Netizens took to reddit to share who they would like to see play the title role.
The business world's legendary tycoon, Ratan Tata, left for his heavenly abode on October 9, 2024. Soon after his demise, his half-brother, Noel Tata, was announced as the new chairman of Tata Trusts. While Tata Trusts has already entered a new era, most Indians are still trying to digest the fact that Ratan Tata is no longer with us. To commemorate the tycoon's life and pay and ode to his legacy, Zee has announced that they are going to make a biopic on his life.
A while back, Zee officially announced that they would be making a biopic about Ratan Tata's life. The announcement received mixed reviews from netizens, who were dicey about whether the makers would be able to do complete justice to the business tycoon's legacy. However, some are also looking forward to seeing his journey on the big screen and getting to know him better. As for now, the production house has not made any cast confirmation about the film.
A netizen took to the discussion platform and asked who should be cast for the role of Tata. The users were adamant that no one could do complete justice to Ratan Tata's looks, but if needed, then Jim Sarbh should be offered his role. One user also wrote that Boman Irani and Naseeruddin Shah could play the role of senior Tata, and Jim can be the young Tata.
Talking about the same another user wrote, "Just make a documentary with actual clips gathered from public domain.. rather than have an incompetent actor sing and dance and not act!" While a netizen said, "Sidhant Gupta from Jubilee might." While another suggested "Abhay Deol, Ishwak Singh, Jim Sarb".

Ratan Tata, a man of many talents, ventured into the film industry as an investor in 2004. His courage led him to co-produce Vikram Bhatt's romantic thriller, Aetbaar, alongside Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham, and Bipasha Basu. Under the Tata BSS' umbrella, the movie was a reimagining of the 1996 Hollywood thriller, Fear. It delved into the darker side of romantic fixation, exploring themes of obsession and familial ties. However, it underperformed at the box office and after which Tata never got involved in the film business.
