Ratna Pathak Shah and Naseeruddin Shah had tied the marital knot back in 1982, but they have been friends even before. They first met at a theatre play in 1975, and slowly their friendship blossomed into love, and that love led them to their marriage. Both of them are celebrated actors and have made their name shine in the Hindi film industry with their acting prowess.
For the unversed, Ratna Pathak Shah and Naseeruddin Shah have been inseparable since their marriage, and they are blessed with two amazing sons, Imaad and Vivaan Shah. Once, in an interview with a leading media house, Ratna had said opening about her relationship with Naseeruddin, “It's entirely a lottery; we just got lucky!”

Ratna Pathak Shah is one of the most versatile veteran actresses of Bollywood, and she is returning with yet another movie of hers, Hum Do Humare Do. But it's her married life with the great actor-husband, Naseeruddin Shah, which she has never really talked about. In a recent interview with The Indian Express, the actress spoke candidly about the relationship with her husband, Naseeruddin Shah. She said:
“We fell in love and have been inseparable ever since. The first theatre play we did together was titled Sambhog Se Sanyaas Tak, and that is the story of our life. Bas sanyaas lena baaki hai (laughs). It’s a relationship, which has been very useful. It is a relationship of equals, of friends, which has been a blessing for us. We became very good friends and stayed very good friends.”

The actress further mentioned that Naseeruddin is a very hardworking actor, and it's his hard work that always pushes her to work more. She even said that she is very lazy but, Naseeruddin's energy and dedication inspires her to work better.
In an old interview, once Ratna Pathak Shah had revealed how extravagant her marriage was with Naseeruddin. She had said:
"We had a ball at our wedding! We went to the beach, swam and drank wine, and had a great time. There were no rituals and no rona dhona (crying). I remember when I left my mom's place, we all were singing bidaai songs together. Naseer and I were also singing a whole lot of bidaai songs. So, of course, I want that for my kids too, but both of them are not showing any signs of marriage!”
