Raveena Tandon recently shared what advice she has given to her daughter, Rashan Thadani ahead of her Bollywood debut in Abhishek Kapoor's film.
When we talk about 90s Bollywood, one name that immediately pops into our minds is that of Raveena Tandon. The 49-year-old actress never misses an opportunity to mesmerise her fans and remains one of the best actresses in the industry to date. She has been a part of popular films, such as Dilwale, Mohra, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Dulhe Raja, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and many more. More recently, she ventured into OTT with the crime thriller series, Aranyak. And following Raveena’s footsteps, her daughter, Rasha Thadani, is all set to step into the world of glitz and glam.
In a new interview with News 18 Showsha, Raveena Tandon had a conversation about her choice of roles, upcoming projects and advice to her daughter, Rasha Thadani, who will soon be debuting on the big screen. As per reports, Rasha will be making her big debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s next film. The director is known for films like Kedarnath, Kai Po Che, Fitoor, Rock On, and many more. Raveena shared her feelings about her daughter's debut and mentioned that it is necessary for parents to let their children experience downfalls and successes in order for them to recognise their strengths. She said:
“I believe that sometimes you’ve got to let your children also fall and pick up and walk again because that’s how they will learn to be strong and that’s how they will probably recognise their own inner strength and what they are capable of. Audience is king, content is king and today, it’s the audiences that decide whether you’re here to stay or it’s time for pack up. You have to be hard working, you have to be talented, you have to be sincere with what you’re doing and then that little bit of luck as well.”

During the same conversation, Raveena was asked if she was offered more projects from the South Indian film industry after her stint in KGF 2. The actress revealed that she has been picky with the kind of role she portrays on the screen now, and is not rushing through decisions. She said:
“Yes, but I have been choosy. I don’t want to do too much work also because I believe if, as a star, you are seen everywhere, you lose your shine. Only if a script comes my way where I’m playing something different, and it’s a role that challenges me, I will say yes.”

The 49-year-old Bollywood actress also shared her experience of working in OTT content. Raveena mentioned that actors get more freedom to experiment with their characters. She further added that because of OTT, filmmakers can now work on untold stories that were previously pulled back due to several restraints. Raveena added:
“I feel there is so much more freedom now, to experiment, to play with the characters. I think it’s not only a great time for female actors, but I think it’s a great time for the industry overall, for filmmakers as well, because there have been so many untold stories which they’ve been wanting to tell and are pulled back probably because of the restraints of the box office, the Friday collections pressure, etc.”
