Daughter of filmmaker, Ravi Tandon, Raveena made her acting debut in 1991 with the film, Patthar Ke Phool and proved her versatility as an actress with films like Dilwale, Mohra, Ziddi, Laadla, Anari No. 1, Shool, Maatr and many more.

Raveena Tandon’s wedding to Anil Thadani was a grand affair, and she was the first Bollywood actress to have a destination wedding. Raveena and Anil took their wedding vows at the grand Jag Mandir Palace. It is an island palace in Lake Pichola in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The wedding rituals took place as per Punjabi and Sindhi rituals, taking care of both Raveena and Anil’s traditional roots.
All the pre-wedding functions of Raveena and Anil took place at the Shiv Niwas Palace. For the sangeet, Raveena wore a Mughal-style keri work sharara along with spaghetti strap choli, designed by Manav Gangwani. She complemented her look with Kundan jewellery. Popular makeup artist, Usha Shah did Raveena’s mehendi, and Cory Walia did Raveena’s makeup for all her functions. For Raveena Tandon’s sangeet ceremony, pop singer, Amarinder Singh, along with his 15-member band, performed at the city palace.
For her grand wedding, Raveena Tandon customised her mother, Veena Tandon’s 35-year-old wedding saree. The maroon-coloured saree was revamped by designer, Manav Gangwani. The lehenga featured gold threadwork and precious stones. The flare lehenga skirt had heavy zardozi work all over it, while the full-sleeved choli was designed in peplum style. The sheer net fabric dupatta with a heavy border added stars to her look.
Raveena Tandon complemented her look with royal jewellery, which comprised of a heavy choker necklace paired with matching earrings and maang teeka. Her accessories also included gold bangles, bright red chooda and kaleeras.
As grand as it may sound, the diva, Raveena Tandon, left no stone unturned for her grand wedding and entered the mandap in a 100-year-old doli. Yes, you read that right. The actress sat in the vintage doli, which once carried the Queen of Mewar. It was indeed a royal way of entering the wedding mandap.
Anil Thadani met actress, Raveena Tandon in 2003 while filming a sports drama, Stumped. The film marked Raveena’s debut as a producer, and the duo kept their relationship professional. Married to the daughter of Romu Sippy, Natasha Sippy, Anil was going through a rough patch in his life and Raveena too was heartbroken after her failed relationships.
Soon after parting ways with Natasha, Anil started dating Raveena. On the eve of Raveena’s birthday, Anil proposed to her, and she said ‘yes’! After keeping their relationship low-key for some months, Anil and Raveena got married in a grand ceremony. With the arrival of their kids, Rasha Thadani and Ranbirvardhan Thadani, Anil and Raveena embraced parenthood.
