Raveena Tandon On Being Referred To As 'Nani' At The Age Of 46, Reveals Equation With Her Four Kids

Raveena Tandon is a grandmother and in an interview, the stunning actress revealed whether she is comfortable being called 'nani' at the age of 46.

The actress, who had ruled Bollywood in the '90s with her sizzling thumkas and nakhras, is none other than the gorgeous Raveena Tandon. A mere mention of the song, Tip Tip Barsa Paani from the movie, Mohra takes us to the gorgeous yellow chiffon saree-clad Raveena, drenched in rain and dancing her heart out with the handsome Akshay Kumar. Raveena had met her soulmate, Anil Thadani during a business meeting and the two had fallen in love. On February 22, 2004, Raveena and Anil had tied the knot in traditional Punjabi and Sindhi style weddings.

Raveena Tandon had embraced motherhood at the mere age of 21 when she had adopted her late cousin's two daughters. Raveena had become a single mother to Chhaya and Pooja through adoption and later had welcomed her biological kids, Ranbirvardhan Thadani and Rasha Thadani post her marriage with Anil Thadani. In September 2019, Raveena had gotten promoted to be a nani as her eldest daughter, Chhaya Malaney had embraced motherhood for the first time.

In an interview with Miss Malini, Raveena Tandon spoke about being referred to as a ‘nani’ at the age of 46. Talking about the same, Raveena said, “Technically, the minute that word comes, people think you're 70-80 years old. When I had taken in my girls I was 21, and my eldest was 11. We actually just have an 11-year gap between us. She's had her baby, so she's more like a friend, but technically, I am a mom-like figure to her in her life. That's what equates to being a grandmom, so that's how it is.”

It was on September 8, 2019, when Raveena Tandon had announced that she was soon going to be promoted to grandma. Sharing the pictures from the baby shower ceremony, Raveena had written, “Me and my brood! My baby’s baby! Countdown has begun!! @officialrashathadani.” 10 days later, Raveena had announced the baby’s arrival with the homecoming pictures and had captioned them as “Thanking the pantheon almighty. The baby comes home.”

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Raveena had revealed that adopting Pooja and Chhaya was the best decision of her life. Talking about people’s reaction to her being a single mother, Raveena had stated, “Back then people were apprehensive on my decision and said no one would want to marry someone with this ‘baggage.’ But as they say, what is destined to be, it will happen. I couldn’t have been more blessed.”

The Thadani clan has been on cloud nine ever since they had welcomed the little one. The elated nani, Raveena Tandon Thadani had gifted her grandson, Rudra a special gift, to be cherished for a lifetime. Raveena had gotten Rudra’s hand and feet impressions framed with a beautiful picture of the little one. Sharing the pictures, lifecasting artist, Bhavna Jasra had written, “@officialraveenatandon gifted her foster daughter Chhaya Malaney a beautiful hand & feet castings of her son “Rudra” Raveena is an ardent fan of our work & has sweetest & kindest words for us and our work.”
