However, it was on February 22, 2004, that Raveena Tandon got married to her Prince Charming, film distributor Anil Thadani at a Palace in Udaipur. Raveena’s wedding to Anil was grandest in every possible way, so much so that she entered her mandap, sitting in a 100-year old doli that had once carried the Queen of Mewar. And guess what? Today, Raveena Tandon Thadani and Anil Thadani are celebrating their 15th marriage anniversary!
Raveena has shared a few unseen pictures from their wedding on their 15th marriage anniversary. She has captioned the pics as, “#15years of love laughter honesty trust children dogs all in that order. And I love you more each day than yesterday.” Take a look at Raveena Tandon Thadani and Anil Thadani’s unseen pics from their wedding:
Anil Thadani had once shared about his and Raveena’s love story and how their wedding was planned. He had shared, “Raveena was producing her film Stumped. And I was releasing the film for her. At that point, I dealt only with her partners. It was only after the release that we met and got to know each other personally. We knew each other socially; we were business acquaintances, so the question of love at first sight didn’t arise.” (Also Read: Erica Fernandes Looks Adorable As She Spends Some 'Maasi Time' Cuddling Her Twin Nephews)
He had further added, “But one thing led to another and quickly. So it didn’t take me long to propose to her. I guess when things are meant to be, they just work out. In fact, if you realise our courtship period didn’t last longer than five-six months. We were engaged for two months and then we got married. I never wanted a big wedding. I thought she would prefer a grand one but surprisingly she was on the same page. I think we’re similar in many ways. (Laughs) But there are natural differences of course.”
In the same interview, Anil had revealed that Raveena fights with him on trivial things. He was quoted as saying, “She’s always picking on me with trivial stuff like, ‘You don’t give me too much attention. You’re working so much, why are you not spending more time with me?’ The good thing is we’ve reached a point where troubles in the relationship normalise on their own. There’s no need to apologise.”
Elaborating further, Anil added, “Our conversations are never about movies. What actually interests her mind is politics, general knowledge, pets... anything but films. Come to think of it, she’s a misfit in this line because movies don’t interest her at all. Yet I think she’s done an exceptional job in Satta. It’s one of my favourite movies besides a few of her other entertaining flicks.”
Raveena and Anil’s love story is truly inspiring and gives us major #couplegoals. Do you know that it is Raveena who surprises him with gifts and movie dates? Anil had revealed, “Raveena likes surprising me with a dinner date or tickets for a trip abroad. It doesn’t happen too often because our kids are still young. We don’t have the heart to leave them behind, so we mostly take them along. Time becomes a limitation with both our work schedules.”
Raveena had adopted two girls, Pooja and Chhaya in 1995 and became a single mother. With Anil, the two have a baby girl- Rasha and a boy- Ranbirvardhan.
