On her adopted daughter, Pooja's birthday, Raveena Tandon penned a heartmelting wish for her with an array of throwback pictures.
Actress Raveena Tandon needs no introduction. She had sizzled the silver screen with her thumkas and we still couldn’t get over her mesmerising dance number Tip Tip Barsa Paani. Raveena had broken the hearts of millions when she had fallen in love with film distributor, Anil Thadani. The duo got married on February 22, 2004, Raveena and Anil had tied the knot in traditional Punjabi and Sindhi style weddings.
Raveena is not just known for her acting skills, dance moves and enthusiastic nature, but also for inspiring everyone by adopting her late cousin's daughters, Chhaya and Pooja Tandon at the age of 21. Raveena had become a single mother to Chhaya and Pooja through adoption and later had welcomed her biological kids, Ranbirvardhan Thadani and Rasha Thadani post her marriage with Anil Thadani.

On July 6, 2021, Raveena’s adopted daughter Pooja turned a year older and the doting mommy shared an adorable birthday wish for her. Taking to her IG handle, Raveena shared an array of throwback pictures of Pooja and wrote, “Happy happy birthday to my eldest! My warrior princess, my pretty, sensitive, tough, hardworking successful sweetheart, my crybaby too… you are my inspiration and I’ve got a lot to learn from you, we love you amd have a great day my baby... @meghnamalaney.”
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Raveena had revealed that adopting Pooja and Chhaya was the best decision of her life. Talking about people’s reaction to her being a single mother, Raveena had stated, “Back then people were apprehensive on my decision and said no one would want to marry someone with this ‘baggage.’ But as they say, what is destined to be, it will happen. I couldn’t have been more blessed.”

Speaking about her motherhood experience since she had adopted her daughters at a very young age, Raveena Tandon had remarked, "I didn't like how their guardian would behave with them and some instinct in me pushed me to take them to my home. There was something about them that made me feel that me being a 21-year-old doesn't matter. I can say it has been the best decision of my life. I cherish each and every moment I have shared with them, from taking them into my arms for the first time to walking them down the aisle."
It was on September 8, 2019, when Raveena Tandon had announced that she was soon going to be promoted to grandma. Sharing the pictures from the baby shower ceremony, Raveena had written, “Me and my brood! My baby’s baby! Countdown has begun!! @officialrashathadani.” 10 days later, Raveena had announced the baby’s arrival with the homecoming pictures and had captioned them as “Thanking the pantheon almighty. The baby comes home.”
