Ravi Kishan and Preeti Shukla’s love story is no less than a film. The actor fell in love with Preeti when he was in 11th class. It was love at first sight for Ravi, and he decided to marry her. After trying his luck in acting, Ravi tied the knot with Preeti in 1993. During his initial days of struggle in Mumbai, it was Preeti who supported Ravi and stood by him.
Ravi Kishan and Preeti Kishan are parents of four children — three daughters, Reeva, Tanishk and Ishita, and a son, Saksham. While Ravi's elder daughter, Reeva, followed in his footsteps and made her film debut with Sab Kushal Mangal, his youngest daughter, Ishita, has been part of the Defence Force.
Ravi Kishan is a devoted husband who has never shied away from expressing his love for his wife, Preeti. In an interview with Entertainment Times, the Bhojpuri megastar revealed that he touches his wife’s feet every night. Ravi, who credits Preeti for his immense success, feels that she is his lucky charm.
In addition, he also touches the feet of his daughters, whom he considers the Laxmi of his life. But he does this only when they are sleeping, as they would not allow him to do so.
In 2024, Ravi Kishan and his family were shocked when a woman named Aparna Thakur claimed to be the actor’s second wife. During a press conference, Aparna stated that they met in 1995 and tied the knot in 1996. She even stated that they have a daughter, Shenova. However, Ravi’s wife, Preeti, filed an FIR against the woman.
In the FIR, Preeti claimed that Aparna threatened her and demanded Rs. 20 crores. She further added that Aparna has connections with the underworld and threatened to trap her husband, Kishan, if they failed to give her the money. Preeti added that when Aparna's demands were not fulfilled, she held a press conference in Lucknow and made false allegations against the superstar.
After coming to Mumbai, Ravi had to go through some difficult times. He had to face a scarcity of film roles and money and often slept on an empty stomach. However, people loved his role as a priest in the movie, Tere Naam (2003), and thus he got recognition. Then, the actor shifted to Bhojpuri films and became the favourite actor for many people in UP and Bihar.
Ravi became arrogant after tasting success in the industry, and it was his wife, Preeti, who gave him a reality check. It was Preeti who suggested Ravi participate in the reality show, Bigg Boss. Revealing how his personality underwent a huge change, the actor once revealed:
“My personality underwent a huge change after being inside the reality show for three months. It’s true that I became more popular, but I also became a normal being. I understood my family, kids and wife and cleared things with them.”
Throughout Ravi Kishan’s three-decade-long career, it was his wife, Preeti, who has been his biggest strength and loudest cheerleader.
