Yesteryear actress, Rekha once opened up about being in love with a married man on national television, leaving the entire world in awe.
Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan's affair is known to the entire nation. While the once-madly-in-love couple received massive hate, Rekha always expressed her admiration for already-married Amitabh Bachchan and called her love pure. However, Amitabh Bachchan had moved on from that phase of his life, Rekha is still struck and cherishing the joy of unrequited love.
An old video of Rekha has resurfaced, wherein she has graced the reality show, Indian Idol 12 as a judge. In the clip, the host of the show, Jay Bhanushali, asked the judges about a lady, who has fallen madly in love with a married man. He had said:
"Rekhaji, Nehu (Neha Kakkar), kabhi aapne dekha hai ki koi aurat itna pagal horahi hai kisi aadmi k liye, woh bhi shaadi shuda aadmi k liye?"

"Maine Kuch nahi Kaha."

Rekha's relationship with Amitabh Bachchan was famous and known to all. On Simi Garewal's show, Rekha accepted her love for him. When Simi Garewal had asked her, "Did Rekha love Amitabh?" To this, Rekha had said, "Absolutely! Duh, that's a dumb question!" And then she had gone on to generalise that statement, "I'm yet to come across a man, woman, child, who can't help but fall completely, passionately, insanely, desperately and especially, hopelessly, in love with him. So why should I be singled out?"
Rekha has not given interviews for quite some time. In a rare interview with the International magazine, Vogue Dubai, Rekha talked about love, life and relationships. The actress, who stayed away from talking about love, courtesy of her infamous relationship with already-married Amitabh Bachchan, expressed her thoughts on love. The actress was quoted as saying:
"When you love someone or something so deeply, does the love disappear? No. Once the relationship is established it is forever. Sometimes we may want more and sometimes it’s just enough. This applies to my craft."
