Rhea Chakraborty made the first revelation ever, on the infamous topic of supplying drugs to her late boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput.

Rhea Chakraborty is a name that grabbed all the spotlight due to the infamous drug case fiasco that erupted post the tragic demise of late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. For the unversed, Rhea and Sushant were dating one another, and the news of the same surfaced only after the actor’s sudden demise on June 14, 2020. However, what made the entire thing take a new angle was when the family of the late actor demanded a CBI probe into his death, as they believed that it wasn’t really a suicide. Moreover, it was Rhea Chakraborty who made headlines soon after she got arrested after the actor’s death in September 2020, over charges of supplying drugs to the late actor. The actress spent a month in the Byculla jail and was released on bail in October 2020.

At the India Today Conclave on October 6, 2023, Rhea Chakraborty graced in the panellist section and made a starling revelation about herself. Among all the other interactions, Rhea was asked whether she did end up supplying drugs to her boyfriend, late Sushant Singh Rajput. To this, the actress gave a very straightforward response and mentioned:

“I am done with this topic. I don’t want to talk about drugs; I don’t want to talk about NCB. I don’t want to talk about the CBI.”

Rhea shares whether she gets affected by people’s negative mindset about her

In the same conversation, Rhea mentioned that whenever she meets a group of people, she can easily feel how they perceive her, post what has happened. She mentioned that either people have a strong negative mindset about her, or else they doubt if she is truly a criminal and so pity her. However, Rhea boldly mentioned that in either case, these things do not matter to her. In her words:

“When I have conversations with people, I can hear the thoughts in their minds. Sometimes they are looking at me and thinking she doesn’t seem like a criminal. I can feel that thought at the same time. Does it matter to me? Absolutely not.”

When Rhea spoke about being tagged as a chudail post Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise

Recollecting her traumatising ordeal post the death Sushant Singh Rajput, Rhea Chakraborty also spoke at length about the tag of chudail that she has received for the same. She called herself a newer version of her older self, both of which are poles apart. Moreover, she mentioned that she liked the tag of a chudail since it means that she was able to not conform to the patriarchal society’s limitations and had her own way out.

It was on June 24, 2023, when Rhea Chakraborty announced her comeback to the showbiz world by dropping a video of her, as he became a part of the hit reality show, MTV Roadies Season 19.
