According to a report in News 18, Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde reacted to NCB's 14,000 long-pages chargesheet in late Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput's drug case in which his client, Rhea's name was mentioned in the accused list with 32 others. The confident lawyer has talked about the amount of narcotic substance NCB had recovered from all the 33 mentioned accused combined in his statement. Going further in his statement, Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde also took a jibe at the NCB's drug probe and highlighted the way NCB had targeted his client, Rhea and her brother, Showik Chakraborty. He added, "The entire NCB from top to bottom was engaged in unearthing drug angle in Bollywood… There's hardly any material against any known faces who were paraded during the investigations, I wonder why? Either the allegations were false or Only God Knows the Truth." The prominent lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, also titled the NCB's entire chargesheet and proceedings as 'damp squib'. He added, "The charge sheet is a damp squib standing on the foundation of Inadmissible Evidence and Statements recorded under section 67 of the NDPS Act even after the Supreme Court Judgement in Toofan Singh Judgement." We will have the last laugh." Well, it'll be interesting to see in which direction this case will go now, after such a strong and fearless reaction from Rhea's lawyer, Satish to NCB's chargesheet.
