The wedding season has officially begun, and the latest one to join the married couples' club is none other than Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal. While the duo have been teasing us with beautiful glimpses of their pre-wedding festivities, they gave us yet another surprise by announcing that they have been married for the past 2.5 years. Well, it came as a sweet surprise right before their Lucknow reception.
On September 30, 2022, Richa posted the first pictures from her pre-wedding ceremony. The bride-to-be had looked the prettiest donning a pastel pink-coloured lehenga. Her outfit featured a heavy floral lehenga with 3-D petal-designed off-shoulder choli, and a matching net dupatta. She had kept her look minimal with a statement neckpiece and matching earrings.

Now, just before their Lucknow reception, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal clarified that they have been legally married for the past 2.5 years. In a statement, the couple's spokesperson revealed that they had registered their wedding two-and-a-half years ago and now they are just celebrating their union with friends and family. The statement can be read as:
"This is to clarify that Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have been legally married for 2.5 years when they registered their wedding. Currently, they are celebrating their union with friends and family, as was already mentioned by them on 29th September in their statement."
On September 29, 2022, Richa and Ali shared an Instagram post, wherein they had posted a voice note for their millions of fans. The couple also talked about formalising their union two years ago but they waited so long to celebrate their union with their family and friends. The note began with Richa saying, "Two years ago we formalised our union, and just then the pandemic hit us all." To this, Ali added, "Like the rest of the nation, we too were struck by personal tragedies one after the other." The couple concluded that they are finally celebrating their marriage.
For the unversed, Richa and Ali met on the sets of Fukrey in 2012. After seven years of dating, Ali proposed to Richa in 2019. And in 2022, they are celebrating their unions!
