The long-awaited, Mirzapur season two's trailer dropped today, and the hype is real! The show's one of the protagonists, Guddu Pandit, portrayed by none other than very talented, Ali Fazal didn't disappoint his fans by his impeccable performance. And his longtime girlfriend, actress, Richa Chadha pens the sweetest appreciation post for him, which has Mirzapur touch in the end. Scroll down to read it!
Richa's quirky note can be read as "When @yehhaimirzapur released, people said bae @alifazal9 was a revelation! Because they'd seen him only in softer parts. But that's an actors job! To become almost unrecognisable from one part to the next. My Hollywoodia Bollywoodia does that quite well! He can be chilling with Dame Dench with ease, while competing to become Mr Purvanchal! The trailer of part 2 is about to drop and rest assured, you shall be surprised again. Guddu Pandit is on the way, bas raste me thoda ande ka thela dikh gaya tha toh thoda khaa pee ke ayenge."
Just like his ladylove, Ali Fazal also never skips a chance to show love and support for her. Some days ago, when Richa Chadha's name was dragged in Payal Ghosh-Anurag Kashyap controversy, Ali Fazal had defended his girlfriend, with a long note. Reposting her story on his IG handle Ali had written in the caption, "My love, you, who has stood up for women time and time again, today had to go through this ordeal. And yet, you come out strong as ever. My partner, your resilience, your kindness, and empathy have touched many people, and I have had the fortune of being witness to that over the time I've known you." Concluding his note by clarifying the reason behind supporting Richa Chadha, the actor had further written in his note that people like her make the world a better place. His note could be further read as "I believe every voice must be heard. I believe in dissent. But I also believe in the power of truth and justice. They indeed prevail. I believe in using our right to speak up but with utmost responsibility. I believe that we as a society need to empower our women so that their fearless voices echo in all its glory and yet with care and gentleness. I say this today, not because you're my partner but because people like you make the world a better place and we need you. Love you. With you. Always." To which, Richa had commented, "Grateful for you! Today and always".
That was not the first or second instance when the lovebirds had stood up for each other. When the trailer of Ali Fazal starring Death On The Nile had dropped, Richa Chadha had lauded him on his achievement and had bashed a journalist when they had tried to undermine Ali's accomplishment. The news report had labelled his appearance in the star-studded trailer as 'blink and miss', and it hadn't gone well with his ladylove, Richa Chadha. She had written, "Dear @IANS, what's with the headline? Past two months you were crying that outsiders face discrimination. So how about the role of the media in discrediting their achievements? Shall I send over cutlery so you can eat your words after you watch the film?" (Don't Miss: When Akshaye Khanna Talked About Dad, Vinod Khanna's Decision Of Leaving Them To Take 'Sanyaas')
