Belonging to the former category is the Begum Jaan actress, Ridheema Tiwari and the Miley Jab Hum Tum actor, Jaskaran Singh.
After being tight-lipped about their relationship, Ridheema and Jaskaran made it official in February 2018. And on June 28, 2018, the much-in-love couple secretly had a Sikh wedding ceremony, which was done as per the rituals of Anand Karaj. Post their wedding, Ridheema was welcomed in her sasural and the auspicious moment was celebrated with the newly-wedded bride dipping her feet in water containing red kumkum or vermillion powder. It is said that this way as the bride leaves her footprints across her new abode signifies that the Goddess of Wealth or Goddess Laxmi has entered the home. In an interview with the Times Of India, the elated bridegroom shared the moment when Ridheema popped up the topic of marriage to him. Karan Singh Grover’s brother, Jaskaran was quoted as saying, “We have always wanted to get married, but never expected it to happen so fast. Actually, I wanted to concentrate on my restaurant business for some more time. However, a month back, Ridheema brought up the topic of marriage and we both felt that this would be the right time. She does not have too many projects on hand and so, we will get quality time together after marriage. Having said that, I didn’t take Ridheema seriously, initially. It was only when she started the preparations that the reality started sinking in. She handled all the arrangements, including my outfit and accessories, alone.”
About the pre-wedding jitters, Ridheema stated, “I was anxious like any bride would be. However, I am happy that I am married to the man I love. We always wanted a low-key wedding.” Jaskaran also applied mehendi on his hands, and spoke about the same, “I feel that both partners are equal and they should complement each other in everything. Since she applied the mehndi for me, I thought that it would be sweet to reciprocate the gesture.” (Also Read: Dear Bestie, Here're 7 Important Things You Should Know Before Entering Your 'Sasural')
