But all of these and many out there have battled cancer like a true warrior. And Rishi Kapoor is the latest addition in this list who just recently was adjudged 'cancer-free'. The point, however, is when he is going to return to India, and his million fans are waiting to see him back in the bay.
Rishi Kapoor took to Twitter to post an emotional tweet regarding his return to India. He has shared on Twitter, "Today I complete eight months here in New York. When will l ever get home?" This heartening post immediately caught the attention of his fans and people started commenting positive words on Rishi ji's tweet.
Rishi ji, we are waiting for you to return to India soon. Rishi Kapoor, in a recent interview with the Deccan Chronicle, had praised his wife, Neetu Kapoor and their kids- Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. He was quoted as saying, "Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise, I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drink are concerned. My kids Ranbir and Ridhima have really shouldered my problems."
He had also talked about his impatient behaviour and how he battled it along with cancer, "A person like me who has never had patience, this is God’s way to teach me patience. Getting well is a slow procedure. But it makes you grateful for the gift of life."
Rishi ji had further retorted, “My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free. I will have to do a bone marrow transplant, which in all probability should take another two months minimum. Being in remission is a big thing and it’s all because of my family and my fans prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all.”
Ranbir Kapoor, his son, had spoken about his father recently at the Zee Cine Awards. He had said, “Whenever I speak to him, he only talks about movies. He only talks about ‘how is this film?’, ‘how is this film doing?’, ‘how is this performance?’, what are you doing in this scene? And more so, he speaks to me about his insecurities that when he gets back, will he get to work in movies? Whether people will offer him films? Will he be able to act in movies?” (Don't Miss: Mira Rajput And Shahid Kapoor's Stunning Appearance At Narendra Modi's Swearing Ceremony [VIDEO])
Rishi Kapoor's brother, Randhir Kapoor had also commented on Rishi Kapoor’s ‘cancer-free’ status recently and had shared, “Rishi is doing much better. He has to finish his course of treatment, and will be back in India in the next few months.”
It was last year on September 29, 2018, when Rishi Kapoor had hinted that he is battling with an ailment and for his treatment, he is taking an off from work. He had taken to Twitter then and had shared, “Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years ‘plus’ of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon.”
Post Rishi Kapoor's tweet, Randhir ji had shared, “We don't know yet what is the exact nature of his ailment. Rishi himself doesn't know what he's suffering from. He has not even started undergoing tests there; how can people speculate that he has cancer and that too, one that has escalated to an advanced stage."
Many Tinseltown celebrities have been visiting Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in the US. For instance, recently they were paid a visit by Rajkumar Hirani. Neetu Kapoor had shared a picture on her Instagram handle and had captioned it as, "We both love and admire Raju so we’re super excited today !!! Spent so many hours discussing n talking movies !!! Exhilarating #greatdirector #simple#lovehismovies."
Earlier, Karan Johar had visited them. Neetu Kapoor had shared the following picture and had adorably worded it as, "He gave the tightest Hug and the longest kiss and said half of this love is from his mom Hiroo. Sometimes simple words mean so big love him #karanjohar #fulloflove#lotsoffun." (You May Like: Sleepy Taimur Ali Khan Darts Off To London With Kareena Kapoor Khan And Saif Ali Khan)
