There is no denying that repurcussions of consuming such things can be dangerous. His father, Rishi Kapoor has just come out of battling cancer and emerged victorious like a warrior. Rishi Kapoor, in September 2018, had announced that he is taking a break from his work and is moving to New York for some treatment due to an ailment. Fans went into a panic mode and conjectures started doing the rounds that Rishi Kapoor is suffering from cancer. Later, in a New Year 2019 post, his wife, Neetu Kapoor had hinted of the same.
But good news came along recently when Rishi Kapoor himself confirmed that he is now cancer-free after 8 months of treatment. And guess what? As per a report in the Mumbai Mirror, it has been claimed that Rishi Kapoor will come back to India before his 67th birthday on September 04, 2019. He told the media portal, "Yes, I am trying to return by August end, depending on what the doctors at the hospital say. I have recovered well and I am feeling good. Must be 100% fit by the time I am back."

He was quoted as saying, "Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise, I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drink are concerned. My kids Ranbir and Ridhima have really shouldered my problems."
Rishi Kapoor, in another interview, had recently revealed that he is now cancer-free and is currently in remission period. He had shared, “My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free. I will have to do a bone marrow transplant, which in all probability should take another two months minimum. Being in remission is a big thing and it’s all because of my family and my fans prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all.”
Rishi Kapoor's son, Ranbir Kapoor, had talked about his father during the Zee Cine Awards recently. He had said, “Whenever I speak to him, he only talks about movies. He only talks about ‘how is this film?’, ‘how is this film doing?’, ‘how is this performance?’, what are you doing in this scene? And more so, he speaks to me about his insecurities that when he gets back, will he get to work in movies? Whether people will offer him films?
