In a conversation, Rithvik Dhanjani finally broke his silence and talked about his breakup with Asha Negi, one year after separation!
Asha Negi and Rithvik Dhanjani had met on the sets of their show, Pavitra Rishta. They had become ‘Ashvik’ for their fans in 2013 after they had realised their love for each other and had started dating. Though there was never any official proposal or announcement, they were truly relationship goals. Nonetheless, their love story was short-lived as in May 2020, Asha had confirmed their breakup.
It was in an interview with Pinkvilla when Asha Negi had confirmed her breakup with Rithvik Dhanjani and had shared that people and relationships do fall apart. However, she had also mentioned that they will always share compassion and respect for each other. While Asha has talked about their breakup and after-effects several times, this is the first time that Rithvik has opened up on the same.

In a chat show, By Invite Only season 2, Rithvik Dhanjani was asked about his breakup with Asha Negi. He shared that he doesn’t have to explain anyone anything. Calling it the best 9-10 years of his life, Rithvik said, “First thing first, I'd like to say definitely stand by it. I think I don't have to explain anything to anyone. I think it's been one the best things that have ever happened to me those 9-10 years of my life. It really made me who I am. She really really helped me become so much better of a human being.”
Rithvik further added that they have different paths now. He concluded, “I can't thank her enough. I think it's been a beautiful union that it was, up until the time it was. Of course, we probably have different ways to.. alag-alag journey pe nikle hain humlog but with so much love and so much gratitude in my heart. That's all that I live by every day.”
Asha Negi was brutally trolled and bashed after her first interview post-breakup with Rithvik Dhanjani. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Asha had recalled the bashing and how people were bothered even when she smiled. She had said, “Fans bashed me right, left and centre, saying ‘Arre, isko toh fark hi nahi padta hai, she is smiling and saying that."

Asha Negi had also mentioned that the hatred had made her feel bad, and she was worried about the ‘Ashvik’ fans, who were still mourning their breakup. She had added, "And I was thinking to myself, ‘Yaar, how can these people be so judgmental?’ What do they know about what did I go through and what happened? They know nothing, they just want to sit there and judge you. But yeah, I really feel bad for all the loyal AshVik fans, they have been still mourning the breakup that happened.”
On the work front, Asha Negi was last seen in the web show, Khwabon Ke Parindey, whereas Rithvik Dhanjani’s new web series, Cartel released a few days back!
