Amid separation rumours from YouTuber, Gaurav Taneja, Ritu Rathee breaks her silence and shuts gossip mongers.
Popular YouTubers, Gaurav Taneja and his wife, Ritu Rathee, are in the limelight after rumours of their divorce surfaced. It all started after Ritu missed her family vacation, and Gaurav chose not to address her absence in the video. In fact, he entirely neglected the mention of Ritu in the vlog.
On September 28, 2024, Gaurav took to his Instagram handle and posted his first-ever note addressing the same. He shared a picture note in Devnagri, which could be read as "Joi Joi mohe pyaar kare, soi mohe have." The line roughly means that people who love me, I love them back. The post by Gaurav ignited the rumours further, and social media is now abuzz with the news of their separation.
Amid all the murmurs, Ritu Rathee took to her IG handle and posted a video in which she was seen getting emotional. In the video titled ‘Divorce Reality Check,’ Ritu slammed the gossip mongers who questioned her husband and stated that she doesn’t need support from social media. In her words:
“A small thing happened between a husband and wife. He thought he was right, I thought I was right. He became stubborn, and so did I. But does that mean that you will tell me what kind of a man he was? I know that man inside out. I don’t need to hear from you whether he is genuine, whether he was loyal. I have seen him go through every situation.”
In the video, Ritu also stated that she was not an ‘abla nari’ and was capable of taking care of her kids. Ritu also confirmed that she was indeed the woman who was heard asking spiritual guru, Premanand Govind Sharan for guidance. Stating she doesn’t need any guidance from social media, she said:
“I don’t need support from social media. I quit social media one year ago and I don’t regret it. People who live in glass houses love to gossip about others.”
