RJ Mahvash finally broke her silence and revealed if she's actually dating Yuzvendra Chahal. She also talked about her engagement at the age of 19.
Yuzvendra Chahal's personal life grabbed a whole lot of attention in the last few months. The reasons for the same were that he got divorced from his wife, Dhanashree Verma, and then, he was spotted with RJ Mahvash during the ICC Champions Trophy soon after that. Yuzvendra and RJ Mahvash's photos were all over the internet, and people started wondering if the two were dating. While Yuzi kept up with his dignified silence, recently, RJ Mahvash revealed the truth behind the buzz.
RJ Mahvash recently sat for an interview with Yuvaa, wherein she was asked if she has been dating someone. Replying to the same, the social media sensation revealed that she's very much single and doesn't understand the concept of marriage in today's time. Mahvash further claimed that she's someone, who would date only if she would want to marry. RJ Mahvash added that she doesn't do casual dating and goes on dates only with someone she would want to spend the rest of her life with. Sharing that she has put a halt to the idea of marriage as of now as she doesn't understand the concept, Mahvash stated:
"I am very much single, and I don’t understand the concept of marriage in today’s time. I am someone who would date only when I have to marry. I don’t go on casual dates because I will only date someone I want to get married to. I am that person, like in the film Dhoom, who sees his wife and kids behind the bike."
In the same interview, RJ Mahvash made a shocking revelation and shared that she got engaged when she was only 19 years old. Well, that relationship was short term as she called it quits after two years. She further claimed that she is from a small town Aligarh, and their only concept and goal used to be to find a good husband and get married. In RJ Mahvash's words:
"I was engaged at the age of 19, and I called it off at 21. Growing up in a small town like Aligarh, our only conditioning was that we needed to find a good husband and get married. That used to be our goal."
RJ Mahvash and Yuzvendra Chahal's dating buzz has been going on for a long time now. It was soon after the cricketer's divorce speculations made rounds on social media, when he first time got spotted with the internet sensation. Well, the duo then kept up with their silence. Later, several photos of Mahvash and Yuzi started going viral, and that's when the internet sensation took to her IG handle and blasted everyone who spread fake buzz. In a note, she addressed the buzz and questioned how it's justified that someone could be linked with an opposite-gender even only after being spotted. She straightaway declined dating Yuzi.
For the unversed, Yuzvendra Chahal got married to Dhanashree Verma back in 2020. The couple used to be one of the much-loved couples of the Tinseltown. Well, it was in 2022, when their divorce speculations began, which they both denied. Again, in 2024, reports claimed that there was something off between the couple, and soon after the same, the cricketer deleted all his photos with Dhanashree. They even unfollowed each other from IG handles. Later, it was revealed that the couple was going to be divorced. It was on February 2025, when they formalised their divorce at a Bandra family court.
