In a recent conversation, Rohit Saraf opened up about his obsession with the celebrity duo, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma and his liking for other on-screen couples.
Rohit Suresh Saraf entered Bollywood with Alia Bhatt-starrer 2016 film, Dear Zindagi. Despite coming from a family without any filmy roots, Rohit made a place in the industry after two years of struggle. Following his debut film, he was also seen in the role of 'Ishaan Chaudhary' in The Sky Is Pink, 'Rahul Avasthi' in Ludo and 'Rishi Singh Shekhawat' in Mismatched. Now, he is gearing up for his upcoming film, Ishq Vishk Rebound, which will release on June 21, 2024, co-starring with Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan, and Naila Grewal.
Ahead of that, Rohit Saraf opened up about his admiration for many celebrity couples, including Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, and also a few on-screen couples like Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, and Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. In a recent interaction with India Today, the actor was asked about his liking towards any celebrity couple. To this, he expressed being 'obsessed' with Virat and Anushka's relationship. He further talked about his fondness for the other on-screen couples, and praised Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's camaraderie in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films. In Rohit's words:
"My most favourite couple is Virat and Anushka. I love them. I'm obsessed with them. I watch their videos on the Internet all the time. I watch their interviews. There's something so beautiful about it. I just love that couple so much. On screen, I love Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. They are too nice."

Earlier, in an interview with the Humans of Bombay, Rohit had spilt some beans on his past relationships, first crush and his 'ideal couple'. The actor tagged as the 'national crush' for his boy-next-door charm and versatile acting abilities, mentioned his parents have set an image of love for him. Rohit revealed that he has grown up watching love all around him mainly shown by his parents, who always stood by each other. And due to the same, as a kid, he would always dream of a love like that.
In the same conversation, Rohit talked about his first crush on his school teacher when he was merely seven years old. However, recalling an incident from one of those days, he mentioned how one compliment from his teacher had made his day at that time. However, while talking about how, on growing older, his image of love changed, Rohit continued:
"But the first time I really admired someone, it was my school teacher! I was 7 & the only boy in school with long hair! And then I had my mundan ceremony & had to go back to school bald. My classmates made fun of me; I was upset so my teacher said, 'Don't worry, you still look cute!' I lit up when she said that; she became my favourite. I used to make cards for her; each card said, 'To my favourite teacher!' It was the first time I'd felt something for someone. But as I grew older, my image of love changed."

Further, Rohit shared about his first relationship when he was in the eighth grade. However, this too, didn't last for much longer. Afterwards, when he came to Mumbai to pursue his acting career after the last breakup, he found someone who helped him move on gradually from his previous relationship. Elaborating more about how that relationship also ended, Rohit added:
"In 8th grade, again I felt a rush of emotions. But this time, I also felt butterflies. She lived in my complex; we'd text all day & meet in the evening for a walk. But when I went for a trip I really missed her, so after returning, I told her, 'I think I like you.' She liked me too! But then we broke up. Justin Beiber's Baby used to be my favourite song so, I put up a status– 'Thought you'd always be mine…' I cringe now, but back then I thought I'd never get over that heartbreak! A few years later I moved to Bombay; at first, it was tough with auditions & I'd miss my family. But 3 years later, I found someone; this time, love meant companionship! But soon, I realised I always went out of my way to make sure it worked. So eventually, it ended."
