It was indeed a very happy and emotional moment for the country, especially for the players who fought until their last breath for the win. Rohit Sharma, the captain of the winning squad, was spotted getting teary-eyed as he shared the victory with his family.
Rohit Sharma was at his emotional peak last night as India won the T20 World Cup. After winning the tournament, the skipper rushed to his wife and hugged her tight with all his might. Rohit and Ritika were seen getting emotional as they consoled and embraced each other while shedding happy tears.

Rohit Sharma is a complete family man, and there are no two ways about it. The ace player picked his daughter in his arms as he gleefully adored her. Later, the captain was seen walking around the field as a part of the victory parade with his daughter seated on his shoulders. The sight was truly priceless.
This season marked the end of an era as two of the gems of the Indian cricket team bid adieu to the T20 playing format (international format). The captain, yesterday, while talking to the press, announced his retirement. In Rohit's words:
"This was my last [T20I] game as well. No better time to say goodbye to this format. I've loved every moment of this. I started my India career playing this format. This is what I wanted, I wanted to win the cup. I wanted this badly. Very hard to put in words. It was a very emotional moment for me. I was very desperate for this title in my life. Happy that we eventually crossed the line."

After winning the T20 World Cup, skipper Rohit Sharma ecstatically went down on his knees and kissed the field. He slapped on the ground in jubilation and shouted out loud before lying down on the field with tears in his eyes.
