Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla opened up on how their equation has changed with each other post 'Bigg Boss'.
Television's favourite couple, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla had met each other at a friend's house during Ganpati celebrations, wherein Abhinav had instantly fallen in love with her. However, it was Rubina, who had taken the first move. In the year 2015, Rubina and Abhinav had stated dating and later in 2018, the duo had tied the knot in a grand wedding, pictures from which were all over social media.

The couple had participated together in Bigg Boss season 14. During one of the tasks in the show, Rubina and Abhinav had revealed that they were almost on the verge of divorce when Bigg Boss had come their way. Now, in a recent interview, the couple opened up on how their equation has changed with each other post the show.
In an interview with ETimes, Rubina Dilaik revealed that the couple has started to communicate in a better way and that she is willing to make efforts to communicate her love to Abhinav. She was quoted as saying, "I have realised that if I want to show how much I love him, I should try to understand his language of love. Like making something for him that will make him happy instead of planning a surprise trip to an exotic location. We have understood that difference."
Talking about how do they resolve fights, Rubina said, "We still fight on the same things, bas unko settle karne ke tareeke alag ho gaye hain. Ladaiyaan toh same hi hoti hain, rukengi thodi (laughs!). Abhi communication skills improve ho gaye hain. So, while earlier, we would fight and not talk to each other for a day or two, now, we resolve it and call a truce in a couple of hours. There is more respect than love in our relationship. Love grows every day, and you can't quantify it. Respect has been the foundation of our relationship, and that's how it has always been."

During an interview with RJ, Siddharth Kannan, Abhinav Shukla had revealed the reason behind Rubina and his decision of seeking a divorce. Abhinav had said, "Well if I honestly tell you, you will laugh. I forgot to bring her coffee. I am not kidding." Abhinav had further explained it and shared that lockdown was a difficult period and it had taken a toll on their relationship. He was quoted as saying, "See, there were things. We are two very strong individuals. We have very strong opinions aur dono ki soch aapne toh dekh hi liya hoga Bigg Boss mein, alag-alag hai. Toh jab woh soch clash hoti hai, sparks fly. Lockdown was a difficult phase for everyone, and so it was for us. We gave ourselves six months."
In a candid conversation with ETimes, Bigg Boss 14's winner, Rubina Dilaik's husband, Abhinav Shukla had talked about his journey on the show. Abhinav had also revealed one particular moment that had brought him and his wife, Rubina closer. Recalling the incident when Rakhi Sawant had pulled Abhinav's shorts' drawstrings, which had irked Rubina to indulge in a heated fight with the controversy queen and had thrown a bucket of water on her face. Talking about Rubina's reaction, Abhinav had said, "It became an instinctive response that after that we'll watch each other's back. Thanks to the other contenders. Absolutely. It gave me a sense of belonging."
