In a new post, Rupali revealed a heartbreaking update from her personal life, which shocked her fans.

Rupali Ganguly celebrates her son's first birthday without her mother-in-law 

Recently, Rupali Ganguly took to her IG handle and shared an emotional post. In the post, the actress reveals how her son, Rudransh, marked his first birthday without his grandmother. She shared that his grandmother loved him more than even his parents.

Rupali further revealed that her mother-in-law used to address her son as 'Krishna,' and now the void of her passing away will always be felt in their hearts. The Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai actress shared how everyone should cherish their grandparents, who love them unconditionally. She penned:

"Rudransh's first birthday without that one person who perhaps loved him more than his parents Forever Daadi ka laadla Krishna .... Smt Sudarshan Verma ... your void will be felt always .... Cherish the parents and the Grandparents ... pure unconditional unadulterated blessings...."

There is no update on the reason for the death of Rupali's mother-in-law and other details surrounding it. But her fans were quick to share their condolences and wish her son on his birthday in the comment section of Rupali's post. One user wrote, "May her soul rest in peace; she will forever be a guardian for Rudransh." Another user wrote, "May your mother-in-law's soul rest in peace."

Rupali Ganguly may leave Anupamaa soon 

As per a report by Filmibeat, the TV show, Anupamaa is gearing up for a leap, and the makers are looking to cast new actors for the role of grown-up 'Adhya' and her love interest. Following it, Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna might quit the show after a possible leap. However, there has been no confirmation from the makers. They can leave the show if the track demands, or makers might replace them. It depends on the TRPs, which is closely being monitored by the show's creators. 

Rupali Ganguly's professional life so far 

Rupali Ganguly made her debut at the mere age of seven. She starred in her father's film, Saaheb in 1985. Later, the actress made her TV debut in the serial, Sukanya in 2000. She has starred in popular TV shows like Sanjivani: A Medical Boon, Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Bigg Boss 1 and Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi among others. She is currently seen playing the titular role in the TV serial, Anupamaa.
