In an interview, Rupali Ganguly opened up about her husband, Ashwin K Verma's early retirement and revealed how it helped her to get out of guilt of leaving her son at home and go to work.
Rupali Ganguly is married to the love of her life, Ashwin K Verma, and together they are blessed with a baby boy, Rudransh. For the unversed, post-giving birth to her son, she took a hiatus from the small screen until making it big with her comeback in Anupamaa. In an interview, a few weeks back, the Anupamaa actress also revealed how she failed as a mother as Ashwin took early retirement and shifted from America to India, only to support her dreams. Now, Rupali once again talked about the same, and opened up how Ashwin broke the typical mindset.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Rupali Ganguly opened up about her husband, Ashwin K Verma's support for her to return to work. She was asked about her feelings for ruling the small screen again. To this, she expressed her gratitude towards god and revealed how the almighty, the serial's channel and TV director, Rajan Shahi played a pivotal role in shaping her career in TV once again. However, she didn't forget to mention her husband's support as a pillar of strength behind her. Rupali mentioned that it was only Ashwin who encouraged her to return to acting when their child, Rudransh, was 6.5 years old. Rupali said:
"God has been so kind that he has given me an opportunity at this stage of my life, to again come back to what I love doing -- acting, and that too on the medium that I love. I'm so grateful to God, Rajan Shahi and to Star Plus for believing in me. And of course my husband who's a rock star. He encouraged me to go out when I was in two minds about whether I should take it when my child was just 6.5 years old. Without him, I'm nothing."

Further, Rupali talked about the positive aspects of being part of the TV serial, Anupamaa. While elaborating on the lot of causes that she believes in, Rupali also mentioned how she regrets not being able to give much time to her son, Rudransh. The gorgeous actress added:
"If life has changed after success, well, there are a lot of positives. I have the convenience of supporting a lot of causes like animal related causes and a lot of other causes that I believe in. The only drawback is that I get to spend less time with my child."
Further, Rupali lauded her husband, Ashwin, and mentioned how he helped her escape the guilt of leaving her son at home and going to work. The actress mentioned that her spouse has broken society's typical mindset by prooving a supportive husband. Elaborating on how despite being so much successful, Ashwin chose to be a house husband, Rupali mentioned his respect for her talent and profession. Rupali revealed:
"I go to work every day with guilt and but nevertheless I'm blessed that I have a spouse who's there. He's proved it to the world that it does not have to be a mother who needs to do so. It is not always the husband who has to go out and work and run after his dreams. He has broken that typical mindset despite being so successful, he has chosen to be at home and take care of our child. He doesn't need me to go out there and work. But he still respects the fact that I have talent and really thinks that I should showcase it."

On January 28, 2023, Rupali Ganguly took to her Instagram handle and shared a priceless video in which she was seen taking the delivery of her then-brand-new car, the Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d. The gorgeous actress was accompanied by her husband, Ashwin K Verma, their son, Rudransh, and other family members. From cutting a cake with her family to dancing while posing for the cameras, Rupali seemed to have achieved her dream of buying a luxury car. Along with the video, Rupali Ganguly penned an appreciation note in the caption, and thanked her husband, Ashwin for giving her the courage to follow her dreams and take the decision that looked scary from the outside. Further in her note, Rupali thanked her lifeline, her son, Rudransh and admitted that he is her life’s biggest blessing.
