The actress is seeking compensation on the grounds that Esha's claims are false and derogatory. Shortly after Esha was served the legal notice, she deleted all posts mentioning Rupali and her husband, Ashwin, and even made her Instagram account private. Rupali Ganguly's lawyer, Sana Raees Khan, views this as a significant victory for their team. Speaking about how Esha's swift actions signal victory for Rupali and her team, Sana told IANS:
"Her stepdaughter has taken down the defamatory posts following our legal notice and deleted her Twitter account, which we see as a meaningful step toward justice. This outcome reflects our victory for truth and accountability, reaffirming that reckless and harmful statements have no place in the public sphere. This definitely sets a strong precedent on importance of responsible communication, especially when it concerns the reputation and dignity of others."
