Ruslaan Mumtaz and Nirali Mehta had welcomed their ‘chota baby’ on March 26, 2020. In an interview, Ruslaan announced the name of their ‘superhero chota baby’ and revealed why they decided to keep it.
‘Ross: Ugh, easy for you to say. You already know what your kid’s names are going to be. Monica: Yeah, I had them picked out since I was 14.’ How many of you can relate to Monica from F.R.I.E.N.D.S? Most of us have picked out a name for our future baby since our preteens and the ones who haven’t, decide it with their partner after they’ve conceived. Newbie parents, Ruslaan Mumtaz and Nirali Mehta belong to the latter category. (Also Read: Chahatt Khanna Spends Quality Time With Her Daughters, Zohar And Amaira Amidst The Lockdown)
MP3: Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar fame, Ruslaan Mumtaz and Nirali Mehta had welcomed their ‘chota baby’ on March 26, 2020, and the proud father had taken to his Instagram to share the first-ever pictures of his newborn. Because the little one has come into this world when there’s a global pandemic, Ruslaan and Nirali feel that he is a ‘superhero’. Sharing the picture that would have been their chota baby’s ideal ‘hello world’ glimpse, Ruslaan wrote, “Ideally this should have been the first picture of Chota Baby but we don't live in an ideal world anymore. #chotababy #superhero #toughtimesdontlast #toughguy.”
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Ruslaan Mumtaz announced the name of their ‘superhero chota baby’ and revealed why they decided to keep this name. Ruslaan was quoted as saying, “Rayaan means gates to heaven. Nirali came up with this name and we immediately locked it. She was very close to her grandmother who passed away two days before the baby was born. So, she decided to call him Rayaan, opening the gates of heaven for our grandmother, into our lives.”
Revealing how it felt like a Hollywood film, where the world had ended and the husband drives his pregnant wife to the hospital in the middle of the night, Ruslaan Mumtaz shared his ‘no less than filmy’ experience. He had stated, “There was no one on the road. It was like a Hollywood movie where the world has ended and the husband drives the car to take his pregnant wife to the hospital in the middle of the night.” Expressing how it felt to hold his baby for the first time in his arms, Ruslaan had continued, “I was never comfortable. I would never hold my friend’s babies too. My child is the first child I’ve ever held in my arms ever and that moment, I forget everything that’s happening in the outside world. I feel there are certain things, which when they happen, make you realise their beauty.” (Also Read: Ankita Bhargava Thanks Her Pet On His Birthday For Teaching Her Motherhood, Pens A Heartfelt Note)
Describing the situation at the hospital due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the isolation arrangements for the patients, Ruslaan Mumtaz penned down a post which could be read as “Yesterday was a very eventful day in my life and I thank all of you for giving us all your love and wishes. It all seemed so cool yesterday saying that a super hero is born in the time of crisis but today reality hit me. In my excitement of CHOTA BABYs arrival I completely forgot what's going on in the real world right now but today I got a reality check when we were told that we are going to be moved to a different floor at the hospital because our floor was being isolated only for covid-19 patients. Initially we were just stressed about changing rooms because we were booked for 3nights and had already unpacked our stuff but when our doctor, pediatrician and nurses all told us that since Nirali and Chota Baby are doing well we should go back home immediately, that's when we realised there is no place that is safe except for homes, not even a hospital.”
Ending his post on a hopeful note, Ruslaan Mumtaz had concluded, “At this hour let's pray for each other, for our babies, for babies who are born during these uncertain times, for people who are stranded in cities away from their homes, for our elders and try to keep ourselves mentally strong. We will fight this because we all have super heroes within us. Our super heroes will rise when needed. Untill then Give love and receive love. I'll do my bit, you do yours but from the safety of your own home. #pray #god #chotababy #destiny #superhero.”
In the same interview with the Hindustan Times, Ruslaan Mumtaz had revealed how their plans for Nirali Mehta’s delivery had gone for a toss because of coronavirus lockdown. He had shared, “I wish our family would have been with us this moment... We were planning to stay at Nirali’s parent’s house and had made all the arrangements. We built the nursery as well, but now we wouldn’t be able to travel. We don’t have a house help with us... so we will go to my parents’ house in Mumbai.” (Also Read: Ahil Sharma Celebrates His 4th Birthday With Baby Sister Ayat Sharma, Feeds Cake To Mamu Salman Khan)
