While it is a common notion that Indian brides wear red 'lehengas', this Sabyasachi bride broke the stereotype and dressed in a sea-green 'lehenga' for her wedding!
When we hear the word bride, the first thing that pops up in our mind is a red lehenga. But now, isn't a red wedding outfit very ordinary? Well, it is! This is why brides in today's generation are looking out for options that are more trendy and colourful for their wedding lehengas. It's very fascinating to see brides trying on a spectrum of colours right from pastels to dark shades.
Here is one such bride who has set a new benchmark for all the to-be brides by trying out a different colour outfit which makes her look like a 'patakha'. She explored a very quirky colour for her wedding lehenga which is sure to catch hold of your attention.

Meet Harinsy Kaur, who opted for a sea-green lehenga while breaking the regular concept of the laal rang ka lehenga to be worn by the bride. Her entire outfit included detailed embroidery work mainly in the colours of pink, peach and gold. She donned her outfit with a semi embellished dupatta covering her head, giving a very neat and beautiful look. This Sabyasachi outfit caught the eyes of many over the internet because of the uniqueness of colour and the minute work done on the ghagra-choli. After seeing Harinsy slay the sea-green lehenga on her wedding day, this exclusive outfit must have become a rage among the to-be brides.

Harinsy accessorised her outfit with a maang teeka, a multi-layered choker, heavy jhumkas, chooda and kaleeras in kundan, with a hint of green and ruby red. Apart from this, she wore a headband with stones placed on it that stood out the most. Her ornate jewellery comprised of coloured stones of various sizes and shapes, that complemented her look even better. She purchased her jewellery from the brand SR Jewellers. Her accessories conveyed elegance and innovation.
The Sikh bride opted for a nude look with definite eyebrows and smokey eyes. The well-known makeup artist, Meera Sakhrani, gave a complete makeover to the bride and made her look astonishing even with the subtle makeup on her face. It was the sleek hairdo with a tied up bun that gave Harinsy a very glowing look.
While we were drooling over Harinsy’s ensemble, the groom looked equally dashing, and complemented the bride with a balance in colour. He donned a beige-coloured sherwani with intricate embroidery that looked very classic. Along with his outfit, he wore his pagdi and carried his kirpan as a representation of their culture and heritage.

Their wedding was just like any other big fat Indian wedding. The wedding took place at Amaanta Farms in New Delhi. The décor was based on a pastel theme, that gave a very royal look to their wedding. All the guests who were a part of this auspicious occasion also dressed in a similar colour palette, according to the theme of the wedding. The whole event was well covered with the help of amazing photographers, Mahima Bhatia and Harsh. She made sure to capture all the beautiful moments of Harinsy’s wedding in a delightful way. The snapshots posted by the photographer on their IG handle, speak a lot about the happiness of every member present at the venue. Harinsy and her groom looked splendid in their attires on their wedding day!
