Saif Ali Khan is in no mood to entertain the media glares surrounding his son, Taimur Ali Khan. Scroll down as he shuts the rumours surrounding his son's Bollywood debut!
The world of glam and glitz might look all glittery from the outside, but it takes away the emotional and mental peace that we all crave for. While the actors have signed up for this, it is their kids, who get subjected to it unnecessarily. And the biggest example of this is Bollywood couple, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's little wonder, Taimur Ali Khan. Taimur and the craze of media surrounding him cannot be explained. The nation loves the little munchkin and everyone craves for his one look. But we have forgotten that he is just like any other kid with lots of cuteness and full of innocence that becomes the headline for no apt reason. Looks like all the media glare has taken a toll on daddy Saif as he is in no mood to make his two-and-a-half-year-old boy a national sensation.
Recently, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Saif put an end to all the rumours surrounding his little boy's entry into the films. He clearly stated, "I am really surprised. Some people don’t know us well. I am very surprised that after 30 years of knowing us, people imagine that we would put Taimur in a film, or even allow that to happen in a nightmare scenario, or in an extended reality in the Twilight zone, or an episode of Black Mirror. There’s just no chance on Earth. We are not like that." (Also Read: Amy Jackson Reveals The Gender Of Her Baby, Ecstatically Announces In Baby Shower Ceremony [VIDEO])
He further added, "We don’t celebrate our weddings in a certain way, we don’t flaunt our children in a certain (way). I don’t know. People keep expecting and seem to think that the ultimate goal in life is to be in a movie, or to be on Bigg Boss, or something." Saif also opened up on how star kids popularity is ranked with social media following, and shared, "It’s very sweet, but also a little scary. Sometimes, I don’t get it. I have never really sort of looked at other people’s children. I don’t understand."
Saif also thanked the paparazzi for backing off from his house in order to click Tim, and said, "I want to thank the paparazzi for having backed off from our house. They have shown class and dignity in doing that. My deepest respect to them, for giving Taimur a little opportunity to be normal. Taimur was in London (till now), and hadn’t seen a camera in a long time. I promise you he didn’t miss it at all!"
Earlier, in an interaction with Arbaaz Khan on his chat show, Pinch by Arbaaz Khan, Saif had talked about Taimur and the media surrounding him. He had stated, “It would be so nice to live in a culture that allowed children to be children. Play in a park and do what he wants...without being a celebrity. Even he has started saying ‘media’. I say where’s the media and he points outside. All of our kids want to join films and I am a little concerned about that. I feel there should be other choices.”
On the same show, when Saif was asked to reply to a troll asking Taimur’s Bollywood debut, the dotting father couldn’t hold back and had replied, “Everyone I speak to, everybody around thinks that all the kids want to join films and they do. Most of our kids want to do that which is a good thing, a great thing but I don't know why I am a little concerned about that. I feel there should be other choices, somebody might want to say I want to become a doctor or a lawyer kind of stuff. Maybe I am sounding very old-fashioned but anyway, I am not interested in making his debut in Bollywood and neither is he (laughs).”
The actor had further stated, “This is the way it happens. Sometimes they see their parents, everybody in the family is an actor. So I don't have an issue with anyone doing anything as long as they have a good job and are good people and are well brought up. But there must be so much pressure on my kid also...Like poor Taimur I think will have pressure, like I had to be a cricketer or something. What if he (Taimur) is not interested. Anyway, there's a lot of good wishes for the kid and I would like to thank everyone for that.” (Don't Miss: Aamir Khan's Daughter, Ira Khan Wishes Beau, Mishaal Kirpalani On Their Two Years Of Togetherness)
